I ate at Chili's recently with a $25 gift card I got for being an employee of the month at my workplace. This is the second time that's happened. :D

AI is becoming scary!

I found an article that discusses the evolution of how people receive bad news, particularly relationship breakups, through technology. In it, it discusses the case of a software developer, Nick Spreen, who received a summary of several breakup messages from his girlfriend via an AI-powered text message summary feature on his iPhone.

That summary was brutal!

Can you imagine a future where people are able to ask their AI assistants to deliver personalized breakup messages?

I wouldn’t be using the AI to to deliver a personalized breakup message as I find that kind of takes away the personal aspect of everything. I’m sure other people might use it though.🤦🏿‍♂️

The new apple intelligence feature should have an option to deactivate it if it doesn’t already.

There’s also a parent that’s suing an AI company due to the actions of an AI bot.

It's a first of its kind case where artificial intelligence is being blamed for a young boy taking his own life.

A Florida mother is suing the company known as Character.AI after sharing intimate conversations with the chatbot and her son. He was said to be in love with it and ended up asking it about plans to die by suicide.

Technology can be a curse sometimes. A great tool, but a curse nonetheless.

Yes it should, especially for texts from people in your contacts who might be sending messages that require context, nuance, and sensitivity.

I saw the case yesterday.

NOTE: The videos below discuss topics surrounding suicide and self harm. Avoid them if these topics are triggering for you, and talk to a healthcare professional as soon as possible if you are struggling with similar issues.

This is an actual news story:

Here is like a talk show kind of setting where they discuss it :
