Sometimes when owning a forum, you want to purchase some posting services that will help encourage activity and high-quality posts. It's also a good idea to get a review done every so often so you can get an idea of what is working and what isn't. What things you can improve on and the things that you are currently doing well. With these services comes fees. So my question to you is, what is a reasonable price that you would pay for high quality thread, posts and review services?
It all depends on the quality. The point of buying posts is to have it as organic as possible. That's where the difference lies between many people offering these services. Genuine interest.
No one likes to read long posts that don't come off sincere and genuinely. The usual rate is 100 posts for 10 USD, that is generally adapted everywhere. Anything above that should have an organic feeling.
As for reviews, this is usually a much bigger piece that involves a few hours work. I haven't actually purchased any review services before, except for services offered for a virtual currency. But I'd say that reviews are at least worth 5-10 USD per review. And if you translate that to a real life job payment, that is still severely under paid, which is why you need to enjoy doing it, or you won't keep up with it.
You can choose the average price that everyone else uses or you can develop a reputation of creating the best content ever that gets a lot of engagement, then you can charge a higher price for your services noting that you focus on high quality and value. If people complain and say you're too expensive, just know that set of people really shouldn't be your target customer base.
I charged $200 an article back when I did freelance writing. A lot of people said it was too high. Those people weren't really the customers I was looking for. The other ones that gladly paid me without worry were those who I sought out.
Most people who offer posting services are charging $20 for 100 posts (based on the posting gigs on Forum Promotion). I also offer posting service sometime. Depending on the niche, I charge anywhere between $10-$25 for 100 posts.
It really depends on the quality of the posting. Many years ago as a teenager I did a lot of paid posting work, my work wasn't the best but was certainly at least as good if not better than the average paid poster of the time. I used to make around $12-15 per 100 posts back then, which was decent as a teenager when I enjoyed posting on forums anyway. Sometimes if I had orders with forums with niche topics I could make upto $30 for 100 posts which was great.
Nowadays it doesn't seem like paid posting services are in demand as much as they once were. I mainly post now as a hobby and to help contribute to forums that I like and think have potential. The small extra renumeration is an added bonus and well appreciated, but doesn't amount to more than $0.10 a post, and given I rarely put anything less than a couple of minutes into a post and nothing less than 5 minutes into creating a thread, it's not exactly big bucks. Like I said though, for me, it's more about the fun and enjoyment of being part of a community.
