Evening all, how are we? Just chilling atm watching the Barcelona vs Athletico Madrid match... going to be spending an hour or so catching up on content stuff after then getting ready for an early start tomorrow.

Game Maker's Tool-Kit discussion on the 'cursed design problem' of Balatro, a few 'reading out Reddit r/MaliciousCompliance posts', someone asking a AAA dev a few interesting questions, a video essay on games that requires wikis and whether this is a design choice or not, someone trying out the new QL core for the Spectrum Next.

Right now I'm trying to find out what exactly the extended video modes do on a Spectrum Next between the 50hz and 60hz modes since it affects an idea I have for a game.

I'm going to watch Ravens Steelers when it starts in half hour or so as this Barca game has been boring so far and won't be far off finishing anyhow. I do like me some NFL!

The Chiefs took it. I wasn’t expecting the Texans to win. The final score was 27-19.

Got a cheeky little bet myself on Lamar Jackson to throw 250+ passing yards and 2+ TD passes. Not bad odds at a shade under 4/1, so worth a little gamble. Here's hoping!
