Or, do you work independently (not on any freelancing platform) and get freelancing contracts through your website, social sites, or recommendation? Well, I am not active on any freelancing sites and I get most of my contracts through webmaster forums, my website, and social sites.

The power of social media is so underrated. You should have accounts that showcase your skills and services. Make sure you are actively interacting on those platforms as well. Offline advertisement should not be neglected too.

What I do is to dversify my contract sources on freelancing platforms, personal network, and also on online marketing. It's good to use Upwork, Freelancer, and Fiverr to help you find new clients.
