December 16, 2024Dec 16 It didn't effect the cloud server. No because the DDOS hits CloudFlare specifically on XenForo.com and they limited the traffic going to the cloud server in the first place. Holder of controversial opinions, all of which my own.

December 17, 2024Dec 17 My board on Jcink had a DDOS attack once and John, the Jcink owner, said it was one of the worst ones he's seen on his platform. Are there any real benefits for people who commit DDOS attacks, or are they just psychopaths?
December 17, 2024Dec 17 Content Team I think they're just bored, or they don't like the content on your forum for some reason. As for Xenforo, I know there's a good number of people that don't like the platform or staff, so I guess they want to mess with the site. Love roleplaying games? So do we on RPG Haven!

I can understand being angry or upset with an individual or even a select group of people, but releasing that anger on an entire network is a bad way to go about expressing those feelings. It's like when people are bullied by a select few people in a school setting and they go and commit a mass shooting due to their anger towards those select few people.
