I've mentioned in previous posts both here and elsewhere that I've previously had a very good experience using Google Ads on one of the large forums I used to run many years ago. While I had success both generating revenue with Google AdSense, and gaining additional visitors and members to my forum using paid Google Ads for advertisements, in this post I'm specifically talking about using paid Google Ads to grow traffic, membership and engagement to your website, whether it be a blog, static website or forum.

 

Has anybody else had any experiences using Google Ads, whether positive or negative? I'm interested to hear about any other experiences, especially if anybody has used Google Ads more recently (as in within the last two or three years), but even if your experience was older than this, please still share! :)

 

I may write a guide in the future on the optimal use of Google Ads for growth, but I will wait to see what the demand for such a guide would be as it would involve a decent amount of work.

I'm looking forward to your guide. The only thing I know is that the last few years, numerous changes were done to the system which ends up a lot less profitable than years ago.

The only experience I've ever had with Google Ads is the service telling me I had malicious software on my board when I tried to set up a campaign for it. I have no idea what was being interpreted as "malicious software".
