Hi friends,

 

I’ve never posted a thread like this before because I’m usually cautious about sharing my site links on forums—it often attracts spam and even hackers.

 

However, since joining Administrata a week ago, I’ve really grown to love this community. Even when I’m not actively posting, I keep this forum open 24/7 in my browser because the people here are genuine and absolutely awesome.

 

So, I thought I’d take a leap and showcase one of my forums for those who are interested in ChatGPT or other AI tools. I’m not super active on it yet as I’m currently focused on my blogging websites and other forums about traveling and pets, but I plan to get more involved soon.

 

Here’s the link to my forum—let me know what you think! Does the theme and color scheme work? Is it a good idea? Your feedback would mean a lot and help me improve it further.

Awww, thank you so much for your kind words! I’m glad you like the greenish color scheme—it’s one of my favorites too. It reminds me of greenish ChatGPT's logo I had in mind when I first started that forum.

Yeah, it’s hard. I have the same thing. I’ve got something planned which is in almost ready to launch state but I’ve been focusing so much on Administrata that it’s impossible for me to concentrate on something else.

But I think you’re on the right track. Keep focusing on this Administrata work for now, it has real potential, and I can see that. Honestly, I love being here. It’s not just the forum’s sections and concept that are amazing; the color scheme is great too! Most importantly, you’ve got an active and wonderful community. Once this forum is stable and has grown significantly, then you can dive into your next project!

I would love to give you my feedback on your new forum. Though, first I would strongly suggest that you downsize on the amount of forums/websites that you run & own. If you have to be too many places at once you will never be able to fully focus on one of them. I'm not saying you shouldn't own more than one or manage more than one, but you only have so much time and you should be more picky with your time is all I'm saying.

 

Alright, to my review/feedback of your forum:

I love the simple yet elegant style and layout of your forum. The layout is clean, text is easy to read and the forum is extremely easy to navigate.

I also love that you have a chat box so you can have real-time conversations. Overall, I really like your forum though obviously it could use more posts and activity, but I do remember you mentioning that it is new and that you haven't had as much time to dedicate to the forum.

That's why I do not give time to this chatGPT forum for now my focus is on blogging so that I am activly doing.

 

Thank you for the review about my forum, but sad I can see Shawn has just mentioned my forum gives some suspisous error, so I am gonna go and see why that is happened, strange you did not notice anything when visiting my forum and Cedric also did not say anything about it. But Shawn mentioned that in the screenshot, not sure where could be the issue. I will go and see what can be done :(

I just checked in my google search console/ webmaster tools, it says no issues on the site. Maybe it could be your web browser I guess that can heppen too.

Thanks [mention=7]Bryn[/mention] for the comment and letting me know about that error which Shawn mentioned. I think he needs to reset his chrome browser settings to by default. Because few days ago, I had same issues with other websites and there were random ads popping up on my browser too. I appearntly visited a website which caused that mess and then I had to reset my chrome settings and then everything went well but I had to login again to all the sites I saved my passwords :)

Oh thank you so much for clarifying that there is no error, about email configration, I am going to check why it has happened. Thank you so much for pointing that to me.

Strange, I checked everything was fine but still my forum (Xenforo) was not sending emails, in the error email. Only today I found out about spamrl dot com that website was blocking my emails. Strange I never knew that, I thought I would mention this here in case it might help others or maybe if someone knows about spamrl, please let me know if that is real or what?

 

Here is now below screenshot, according to spamrl, my domain is now selflisted 🙄 I do not know if Xenforo has to do something with this or it was my hosting. But lets see if my site will send emails or not, I need to wait for sometime until these changes happen!

If anyone knows about spamrl, please comment if that is real or I am on the wrong site?

Chrome but I also have McAfee on here. It was free for a year, so I'm keeping it until it expires.

If you start advertising the forum when there isn't a lot of threads or post it may look dead and uninviting. It may also discourage people to sign up because there isn't really any content to sign up to.

So kind of you, thank you for your input! You’re absolutely right about it. I already have the forum set up, and I hope to get back to it and stay active there. Hopefully, I’ll be able to find an audience for it too. Thank you so much for your valuable feedback!

I think you have done really great job. I did not join this time but I will sure join it an I am very much interested in Generative AI. I have been using ChatGPT for sometime and I am always looking forward to improve my prompting and I think your forum is a great place to learn.

Ah thank you so much Nomad for liking my forum and the idea about it.

I also like ChatGPT and have been using so much for all kind of things, I thought I should make a community specially for this tool where we can learn and exchnge ideas and talk about AI tools.

But sadly, as I mentioned above, I can not give time to it. Even though I like that forum idea and I am still very much interested in it. I hope soon I will be able to spare some time and start spending time there. You are always welcome to join anytime :)

This is a common problem for most forum users. They have a great idea, they invest quite good amount of money yet they cannot commit to the community due to time constrains. I was once an active member on two forums on generative AI niche, they were was vibrant communities when they started but then the enthusiast started dying because the owner couldn't bring in members and couldn't remain active. When people invest considerable amount of money in domain, hosting, software, addons, etc. they must also be willing to invest in content development.

By the way, I have been helping forum owners to run their communities for a long time, I have a gig on Growth and Exchange Marketplace, that you might want to check (sorry for being promotional. :D)

hahaha you are sooooo right about it, people are happy mappy when start something and initially they will jump in deep and do this or that and slowly slowly the interest fades away lollll

 

But for me, I am not gonna run away, trust me, I had a forum like 10 years ago and I grew that from zero to ovr 40K or 50K monthly active users I had, that time I was even making around 300 dollars per month from only google ads :D

 

Now, I have so many ideas as you said lol even I can not work on them, but I will never leave my sites. i have over 15 sites and I always go time to time on them. I just enjoy having everything I like, if people come or not, I do not mind. I just enjoy having stuff I like, but if I get traffic that is awesome too.

 

For now, I can not really afford promotions :(

Going through rough times, thanks to Canada lol :D everything is super expensive and living with job is a nightmare but I have no choice.

If ever I need promotional stuff, I know you here as I have seen your threads here, you have been amazing working with various forums. So you would be ideal for me if I would ever need promotions. Thank you so much for the time and writing to my thread in reply, much appreciated.

When using my iPhone though, it goes straight to your forum without any error.

 

Most people will likely be on mobile devices, so that's a plus right there.

I love the design as much as [mention=1]Cedric[/mention]. As for the error message, I did not see it and I use lots of blockers that alert me to any type of malicious site, I would think it was a temporary thing but keep an eye on it

But then under your post I saw post from [mention=2]Al[/mention] and it was a drop bomb again on me lollll

I really don't know why its happening to my site, Shawn also saw error and now AL, I have 2 phones, works perfect, I have one laptop and used multiple web browsers and works fine. I don't know why is my site going crazy with various errors. I am going to deep dive and see where the issue is.
