Posted November 14, 2024Nov 14 What’s your goal, or at least one goal, for 2025 that you plan to accomplish within the year? Mine is to travel as much as possible and create travel vlogs for YouTube! :censored:
November 14, 2024Nov 14 Administrators This past year, my main goal has been to become more financially stable, though it's been challenging with more downs than ups. By April, I should finally be in a better position to make progress. I have a loan ending in February, and with my daughter starting school in April, daycare expenses will end too. Altogether, this will free up over €1000 each month, allowing us to save more by the end of 2025 than we initially planned. My second goal is to enjoy life more. I recently lost my mother-in-law at only 56, a reminder that life can end any day. Lastly, I want to continue building Administrata into a larger, more supportive community that empowers fellow admins to the best of our ability.
November 14, 2024Nov 14 I want to reclaim what is mine: I've spent the last couple of years not really building anything for myself, after a pretty big explosion of my previous hobby project for complicated reasons, followed by one of the biggest hits of burnout I've ever professionally experienced which has taken months of taking it easy to try to recuperate from, and I'm hoping that 2025 sees that baggage gone. I've got several ideas brewing that might actually get somewhere meaningful if I can keep up the momentum on them - some have had to go back to the drawing board for one reason or another but there's a couple that might mature into something meaningful and I'd like that to be in 2025. Cedric sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. Life really is too short. Holder of controversial opinions, all of which my own.
November 14, 2024Nov 14 Personal: I want to get some debt paid off. I'm not in extreme debt but I need to get some of it under control. Brand: I want to get my YouTube channel to 10K subscribers. I'm at around 6K now. I'd like to get my Facebook page to 50K followers. I hit 21K the other day. I want to get some passive income things started with it. Other: I want to start some passive income projects with Serious Bloggers. I also want to launch a few podcasts. And of course, bike and hike more and try to shed some pounds. November 14, 2024Nov 14 I don't necessarily do New Year's resolutions, but I'd like to keep building up my bank account for future funds. That's a little tough to do when you only work part-time and have bills, gas, food/drink, etc. to pay for. I could try looking for a second job, but I'm pretty clueless about what type of job that could be since I've only ever been in the retail and food industry. I used DoorDash to make some extra bucks, but after getting close to being in wrecks a few times, I've felt safer doing away with that due to the crazy traffic in our town.

Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt and inspiring update. It sounds like you've been navigating some big challenges, and it’s amazing to see the progress you’re making. That’s incredible news about the upcoming financial relief freeing up €1000 per month is huge and will make such a difference! I’m also so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. Life truly is precious and unpredictable, and it’s wonderful that you’re honoring her memory by embracing life more fully. And your dedication to building Administrata into a welcoming, empowering space for admins. Wishing you every success with these goals and a bright, joyful 2025 ahead!

It sounds like you've been through quite a journey same as me :( , and it takes real resilience to come back from burnout and rebuild. It’s inspiring to hear that you’re feeling ready to reclaim your passion and start fresh. It’s great that you've got ideas brewing and are already laying the groundwork for what could be a meaningful 2025. Keep nurturing that momentum! Sometimes those pauses and setbacks can bring new perspectives and help create something even better than before. Wishing you all the best as you bring your ideas to life, 2025 sounds like it's going to be an exciting year for you!

Getting debt under control is such a big step , even if it’s not overwhelming, having it in check must feel like a huge relief. And congrats on the growth of your YouTube and Facebook channels! It’s not easy getting to those numbers, so hitting 21K on Facebook and 6K on YouTube is something to be proud of! I am still struggling with my youtube channel and have only 3K subs, on the other hand facebook does not give a damn about my page, even I am very active but it just does not reach to the new audience. I run multiple blogging sites but Google's march update has killed my sites and now almost at zero traffic no matter what I do :( I think starting passive income projects and launching podcasts with Serious Bloggers sounds super exciting. that's my goal too and out goals are so much similar . Those ventures can open so many doors and give you that financial freedom everyone’s after. And I totally get the bike and hike part, finding balance is key, right? Best of luck with everything, and keep us posted on your progress. Rooting for you all the way!

I totally get where you're coming from, saving up while juggling bills and part-time work isn’t easy at all. Building up a little financial cushion is such a great goal, though, so props to you for focusing on it! For a second gig idea, maybe something like remote work could be an option? It sounds like you’ve got solid experience with customer service, so you might be able to find online positions where you can use those skills. There are often part-time options for things like virtual assistance, customer support, or even freelance tasks that don’t involve risking life and limb in traffic! And who knows, sometimes new opportunities pop up where you least expect them. Just keep an eye out, and don’t be hard on yourself. You’re already taking steps in the right direction, and that’s something to be proud of! From your DoorDash experience, I remember, there is a lady on youtube, she was struggling for like 4 years and totally broke. She then started showing her DoorDash deliveries in her youtube vlogs and in 2 months she gained from 3 hundred subscribers to 55 thousand subscribers and on her first month she made over 6 thousand dollars on youtube and the previous month she made over 9 thousand dollars. She is blowing up now a days on youtube and left DoorDash and sits at home, makes money. If you want you can check her journey for just motivation (DoughDash) is her youtube channel. I am just giving you an idea, it might open up new ideas for you and can lead to success. Wishing you all the best bro.

I've considered remote work before, but it's hard to trust whether online businesses are legit or not. That's a pretty neat story that she got into making money on YouTube starting with DoorDash.
November 16, 2024Nov 16 Author Thanks for the inspiration and tips! I've considered remote work before, but it's hard to trust whether online businesses are legit or not. That's a pretty neat story that she got into making money on YouTube starting with DoorDash. it is legit 100%, I also made youtube channel and it got monitzed last month, I made around 70 dollars a month. I would 100% recommend you do that, initially its a struggle but whatever you do, record it and without any fancy editing you can publish videos. Even if yuou are sitting in your car or at home, just pick a nich which you are expert on, talking about finance, entertainment, motivation or whatver you are good at, just press the button on your phone camera and record and upload on youtube. Trust me that lady is making over 9 thousand dollars now. You can watch her videos and you will see what I am trying to say. I want everyone here to be succesful and share my expeirance, it might make someone's life better and I would be happy if I make a change :)

November 16, 2024Nov 16 Author I don't even understand how you make money uploading videos to YouTube. I create travel vlogs, and since I’m currently in Canada, my content is mostly about walking, talking, and sharing my experiences. I upload regularly and keep it real! 😊 My goal is to hit $100 by the end of this month, and I’m super excited about it. It’s a realistic target—if you do a little research, you’ll see the potential. There’s this amazing YouTuber who inspired me; watching her videos really motivated me to give this a try. I’ve spent so much time and money writing blogs on my various websites, yet I barely earn a dollar a month from them. Meanwhile, YouTube has already started paying me! Big YouTubers make millions every month, and even smaller channels with around 30,000 subscribers can easily earn $10,000. I currently have just 3,500 subscribers, and even at this level, I’m on track to make $100 a month. When it comes to monetization, YouTube is king. On the other hand, I have a huge TikTok following—over 3.5 million likes and 160,000 followers—but it earns me nothing because TikTok isn’t monetized in Canada.
November 17, 2024Nov 17 I don't even understand how you make money uploading videos to YouTube. With advertising. Get enough views on a video and you get paid for ads shown before, during and after. Or you get a cut of the Premium folks who watch (because they pay YT for an ad-free experience) Holder of controversial opinions, all of which my own.
November 17, 2024Nov 17 Author With advertising. Get enough views on a video and you get paid for ads shown before, during and after. Or you get a cut of the Premium folks who watch (because they pay YT for an ad-free experience) We get paid based on the ads that show when the video plays. When premium users watch our videos, we still earn, but the amount is much lower compared to the ad revenue. Each video pays differently due to CPM (Cost Per Thousand Impressions) and RPM (Revenue Per Thousand Impressions). For example, sometimes a video with 1,000 views can earn around $100, while a video with 10,000 views might only make $50. It all depends on what advertisers are willing to pay for that type of content. One of my videos was viewed about 2,000 times, and I made $6.42 from it, which is my highest earnings so far. I’m still new to YouTube, but once the channel grows, it can generate significant income. Some people earn millions in a single month, but YouTube is a long-term game. Some get lucky and go viral within a month, while others, like me, struggle for two years and are just now starting to earn money. :)
November 17, 2024Nov 17 With advertising. Get enough views on a video and you get paid for ads shown before, during and after. Or you get a cut of the Premium folks who watch (because they pay YT for an ad-free experience) I should've figured it had something to do with ads. I never knew YouTube paid people, that's news to me. I don't have enough interesting things or knowledge to share creating YouTube videos. My life is pretty bland.
November 18, 2024Nov 18 I never knew YouTube paid people, that's news to me Like everything else Google does, it works both ways: companies pay Google to place their ads, and Google pays out the people who have those ads (including themselves, if the ads are shown on the search results pages). Of course, taking a healthy cut along the way for themselves. YouTube has been serving ads in this way since before they were acquired by Google, though Google was able to bring other revenue streams to the party (e.g. Premium, ability to sell access to legitimate movies) YouTube received $50bn in revenue in the last year, and part of how that works is because the system is cyclic: people make content that others want to see and monetise it - so they can keep making content, and so the system continues. Holder of controversial opinions, all of which my own.
November 18, 2024Nov 18 people make content that others want to see and monetise it - so they can keep making content, and so the system continues. So that's how you start a monopoly.
November 18, 2024Nov 18 So that's how you start a monopoly. I don't think they intended it to be the juggernaut it became, but the reality is that it's always a safe bet to invest in the shovel-seller during a gold rush, especially if the shovel-seller is also the one who will buy your nuggets in exchange for cash. It's a vicious cycle they've made. Holder of controversial opinions, all of which my own.

It’s also a great sign that your instructor is happy with your progress, you're definitely on the right track! Wishing you all the best for your lessons and the test. November 21, 2024Nov 21 It would be great to retire but that's not going to happen. My goal is the same as every year, being I'm just happy I can get up and go to work and have a decent life.
November 21, 2024Nov 21 Administrators It would be great to retire but that's not going to happen. My goal is the same as every year, being I'm just happy I can get up and go to work and have a decent life. As simple as that sounds, that's just how the way it should be. Being happy and having a decent life!
November 21, 2024Nov 21 Being happy and having a decent life! I think that's most people's life goal, not a yearly goal. :)
November 30, 2024Nov 30 One of my goals is to find a better-paying job because my current online position no longer makes me happy. My client promised to increase my salary, but they failed to keep that promise. In addition, the number of tasks I receive each week has decreased. Therefore, I hope to find an online job that offers better pay so I can help support my parents.
What’s your goal, or at least one goal, for 2025 that you plan to accomplish within the year?
