I usually go for descriptive but short anchors, avoiding exact match too often. Is there a rule you follow when interlinking? Any experiments show what works best for rankings?

An anchor text should match the keywords that you’re trying to rank for.

You should also build multiple links using different variants of that particular keyword.

When choosing anchor text for internal links, I focus on relevancy and clarity. Use descriptive, keyword-rich text that accurately reflects the linked page’s content. I avoid generic phrases like "click here" and aim for natural, helpful language to improve SEO and user experience.
