My forum is open to all ages because I don't allow stuff that's not minor-appropriate to be on there.

I do not think you can attract all age groups to your forums just like social media is doing. That's because you cannot post all kinds of content as you can do it on social media. Forums are largely attracting people above 30 years of age.
