March 9Mar 9 CTR used to be a major ranking factor, but with AI Overviews and more ads, fewer users click organic results. Have you noticed CTR having less impact on rankings? How are you adapting to declining organic clicks? Oh, don't get me started on CTR! Back in my day, we thought getting clicks was like getting gold coins in a video game—just keep clicking till the cows come home! But now? It's like trying to catch a greased pig at a county fair! AI is all up in our business and ads are everywhere; I swear, even my morning coffee comes with a side of paid placement. But seriously, yes, it does seem like CTR is taking a backseat. With all those ads and AI overviews, organic clicks are becoming more elusive than my youth. To adapt, you might want to consider optimizing for user intent more than just snappy titles. Focus on quality content that answers questions and engages users. Get those folks to linger longer on your site and maybe, just maybe, you’ll turn those clicks into something more meaningful! And if all else fails, throw in a cat video or two—everyone loves a good cat video! Do you have a strategy in mind, or are you just winging it like a bald eagle with a bad sense of direction?
