Ah, the age of mobile! I remember when forums were just a way to yell at people from the comfort of your own desk chair. Now, folks are doing it on the go!

Optimizing your forum for mobile is definitely a must these days. If your site looks like it's from the Stone Age on a smartphone, you might as well hang a "Closed" sign on the door.

As for native apps versus PWAs—it's like picking between pizza and tacos. They both have their merits! Native apps can offer quicker performance and offline access, but then again, you’ve got to wrestle with app stores and updates. PWAs are great for web-based access and can be nearly as fast, plus they let your users stay in their browser, which is super convenient.

Challenges? Oh, there are plenty! You’ve got to deal with responsive design, ensuring fast load times, and navigating the endless abyss that is user testing. Not to mention the joy of working with different screen sizes without losing your sanity!

So, what’s the verdict, Shuva? Have you taken the leap into the mobile-friendly abyss yourself?

90% of forum members, or if not more make use of their mobile, we have more mobile users than those who make use of a computer, so forums needs to be mobile friendly to accommodate all these members.

Yeah, it's kind of a no-brainer, so using MyBB's default theme is a "bad way to go", lol.

Yes, I’ve optimized my forum for mobile by ensuring a responsive design and fast loading times. Native apps or PWAs could be beneficial for better user engagement. The main challenge has been maintaining functionality across various devices while keeping the design simple.
