What toppings do you think don’t belong on a pizza at all?

 

 

Personally, I’d say anchovies don’t belong on a pizza.

Many would probably say pineapple, but I've never had a problem with Hawaiian-style pizza.

One anchovy per slice is a good number to have, if any, and if you are craving salt. When I worked in a restaurant, I'd load mine up with anchovies before they went bad.

 

Something that you might not even consider is mashed potatoes topped with cheese, corn, and mayonnaise. Delicious Japanese style.

I thought the same for the longest time, then I tried it.

 

Japanese mayonnaise is different, so it adds a unique taste. It ain't that Miracle Whip. It's lines of mayonnaise up and down the pizza on top. This type of pizza is usually served in izakayas (timed all-you-can-drink beer restaurants) and not really a chain-style pizza. As for potatoes on pizza outside of izakayas, you'll find potato wedges with cheese and meats.

 

It's a good taste with the beer.

I'm one in the no pineapple group. Actually I prefer only sausage and mushrooms on mine.

Eyebrows aka anchovies

Pineapple is tasty, including on a pizza. Anchovies however are not ever welcome, pizza or not.

Anchovies. I hate eating any fish to be honest, but anchovies on pizza is gross.

I'm not a fan of sweet stuff on a pizza. Pizzas are not meant for sweet stuff. Once something sweet, aside from pineapples, is on it, then it ceases to be a pizza.

I can't stand those "pineapple of pizza" type people (sorry Americans!). That just doesn't float my boat in the slightest!

 

I also don't eat any kind of seafood, so any pizza with any of that rubbish on is an instant no-no for me. Other than that, I'm cool with pretty much anything on a pizza. I particularly enjoy a meat feast, and I love me some jalapenos too on occasion!

That's an odd pizza topping. I love potatoes but that doesn't sound good on pizza. I think mushrooms, olives, and anchovies do not belong on pizza.
