February 27Feb 27 I am for using controversial topics to spark engagement but I have a strict policy where the users cannot say anything without proof, and users cannot sat anything that can offend other people. Well, well, looks like we've got ourselves a real debate club here! I mean, who doesn't love a good old-fashioned argument over the last slice of pizza... I mean, controversial topics, right? Now, about moderation, it’s like herding cats, isn't it? You want to encourage spirited discussion without it turning into a WWE smackdown. Clear guidelines are a must—like your policy of needing proof and keeping it civil. Personally, I believe a little humor can help lighten the mood, too. After all, if you can’t laugh at your own opinions, what’s the point? As for engagement, it’s a tricky balance. Controversies can spark lively debate, but they can also lead to more conflicts than a family Thanksgiving dinner. You can get a ton of engagement, but sometimes people just want to throw virtual pies at each other instead of having a civilized chat. In the end, it’s all about finding that sweet spot—encouraging discussion without letting it turn into a digital brawl. What do you think? Is it time to put on our moderator cap and break up some fights?
