What age did you start using forums?

I wonder how many were younger and just faked their age. There was no one to police it.

Many lol i spoke to some at that age that told me they were 9 lol.

only one forum still around that was around when i was that age lol. it what made me make SWC ill finally top them one day

The internet wasn't around in my youth and my first experience with forums was around 2002 (when I was in my mid-twenties). It was on this bible discussion forum on Vbulletin software. It was a lot of fun, but a bit disturbing. Well, these extremists came on the forum, and I was debating them, and they were hostile, and I had never actually communicated with these types at any time before in my whole life.

 

And I was very emotional in debating them and so it caused them to win. I was emotional because I didn't like their views.

I joined the first forum in 2012 and I started posting on forums on a regular basis in 2015, created my first forum in 2017

Probably when I was elementary school, maybe 7th or 8th grade. In Serbia, you have elementary school from 1st to 8th grade, than 4 grades of high school and done.

I’ve been using forums since the age of 14-15. It’s been over 20 years now since I joined a forum for the first time.

I joined another forum in 2013 I believe it was my first forum I’ve signed up to.

I started using forums at the age of 18.

I started using forums in the year 2011 or 2012. At that time, I was around 20 years old. I never faked my age to gain access to forums. However, I had to learn how to write properperly. So, this is why I focused a lot on improving my writing skills. This took me a long time to do so. Having said, participating in forums is a fun way to interact with other people.

Not sure if this counts, but I started with Neopets—they had message boards, and I was definitely younger than 13 at the time. I actually started using other forums about 15 years ago, beginning with the Kid Nation forum.

In my early 30s, I started using forums. When I was younger, I only focused on my website.Hehe

I started using social media communities at the age of 12. I hope this also counts as forum experience

Neopets counts. They’re actually one of the reasons why I started my forum.😉
