What's your favorite thing about forums?

Featured Replies

A forum that's on free speech hosting is where you can say what you want. That's way different than on a lot of social media. Now, of course, that doesn't mean being rude and stuff like that, but just the ability to debate things without thought police. You know what I mean?

And another thing I like about forums is the fact that I'm just sick of social media. I want to see something different (graphics etc.). Does anyone else feel that same?

Meeting new people and making new friends!
Order. I can easily categorize things, go to specific forums where I know what is what and each thread is a specific topic being covered. On discord, however, that's crazy. You can chat endlessly and scrolling up is insane. People often go offtopic, regardless channel they are on.

I agree! I love how I can easily categorize things—it's like organizing a file and knowing exactly where everything is—unlike social media where everything feels chaotic and disorganized.

The building process, especially when you own one. It’s like growing a garden and watching the flowers grow & bloom.

It’s such an amazing feeling. I also enjoy networking and meeting people more so on forums than social media.

I am not bombarded with media, I am fed up with video and image content on social media.
There are less toxic people on forums than on social media, which is a good thing for me.

My favorite thing about forums is the sense of community, they’re like digital town squares where people with shared interests exchange knowledge, opinions, and support, often forming lasting connections across distances and backgrounds.
