Social media marketing only works when it drives conversion, whether that is likes, comments, shares, link clicks, sign-ups, or product purchases. Nevertheless, none of these will occur if your content cannot reach a large and relevant audience.

While running ads can boost visibility quickly and you can bring in conversion quickly, frequent advertising can significantly increase your marketing expenses. That's why it is better to focus on building a niche-specific audience on social media rather than focusing on advertising. Building followers organically takes time, but it provides long-term engagement and loyalty.

My personal social media strategy is simple:

  • Publish high-quality, valuable content consistently
  • Focus on one niche to build authority
  • Engage with your audience through replies, polls, and comments
  • Leverage hashtags, trends, and collaborations

If you need faster growth, paid ads can complement your efforts but your focus should always be on quality content as your foundation.

What’s your favourite strategy for building followers on social media?

I've never got much luck with social media. I've made Facebook pages for a few of my websites, posted updates on the pages but never really got much engagement from them. Maybe I'm doing things wrong. I feel if you have a bigger presence on social media it could help your sites, but I don't have a big social media presence myself.
