April 24Apr 24 Nice to see an all AMD build. Are you going to be doing a lot of encoding or other high memory tasks for 64GB?
April 24Apr 24 Author Administrators Nice to see an all AMD build. Are you going to be doing a lot of encoding or other high memory tasks for 64GB? 64GB is definitely a bit overkill, I’ll admit. Aside from some gaming, Photoshop, accounting, and everyday browsing, I’ll probably never use even half of that. But like I said—it’s future-proof. You never know what I might end up doing that could demand more. I’ve been meaning to get into video editing too, and with the new computer, that might happen sooner rather than later.
April 25Apr 25 Content Team Damn that's a nice build! Even if it's a bit overkill for what you're doing, but hey there's nothing wrong with that! Better to have a powerhouse than something that's obsolete. Love roleplaying games? So do we on RPG Haven!
April 26Apr 26 Author Administrators Damn that's a nice build! Even if it's a bit overkill for what you're doing, but hey there's nothing wrong with that! Better to have a powerhouse than something that's obsolete. My current laptop is almost 9 years old. Was never a top spec, but a good business laptop. High end gaming was never possible. Still it’s good to do normal stuff on. The PC is double that price. So this new PC needs to last at least 8 years. 🤣 But the good thing is just swappable parts. If needed, I can upgrade systematically.
May 1May 1 Author Administrators Did some last minute changes, more fans, different gpu version. Here’s a 360 I’ve received: https://www.pcspecialist.be/order-afbeeldingen/BuUPrbdEtbhkfUkwuSnp/3064280/
May 1May 1 A couple years ago when I bought my Alienware R13, I opted for the 64GB (out of 128GB) RAM, specifically so I would have some room to grow. I maxed out the CPU with an i9. But, since I also do 3D modeling and game design with Unreal Engine 5, I do actually tax my PC. I'm hoping that this PC will last a few more years before I have to upgrade it -- Hopefully, I'll have a much better paying job so I can afford to not use credit! -- Senkusha
May 3May 3 That case is nice. I had a build in mind that uses the Vision Compact. Still thinking about it. Can't wait to hear an update on how it all performs! JWeb Bytes - Blog about tech and software
