Your community growth is more than just watching your member count go up. It’s more about understanding how active and engaged your users are, how often they return, and what content resonates with them, etc.

Things to think about:

 • What metrics do you use to measure your community's growth beyond just new sign-ups?
 • How do you track member retention, post frequency, or user engagement?
 • Are there specific tools or analytics you rely on to get a clearer picture of your community’s health?
 • How do you measure success after launching a new feature, event, or section in your forum?

Share your insights and the key metrics you've found most useful in understanding and boosting community growth. :)

I think an important metric that many overlook but I personally like to measure is how many members sign up and post on the same day they sign up. I always want this rate to be as high as possible, because a member engaging with the community early and (hopefully) getting a good response is much more likely to turn that member into a regular contributor.

Too new for me to have back-data, but I have deployed Cloudflare, Google Analytics, Google Dashboard, coupled to XF stats to give me a broad spectrum of data to consider. I suppose that's a start and have used them before.

And I agree fdk that guest > member > posting member conversion rate will at least tell you your signups registered with something already to say. I think that suggests you are hitting your target market correctly.

This is a big one that doesn't get talked about much.
