If you're against AI, do you think you'll miss out in the end?

I often compare this to physical stores that refused to digitalize and launch an online store. The news often states they go bankrupt. It’s a recipe for disaster. While online communities don’t face the same immediate risk, the principle still applies.

AI is everywhere - automating tasks, generating content, even shaping online discussions. Some embrace it, seeing it as a tool for efficiency and growth. Others resist, arguing it dilutes creativity, replaces real interactions, or even poses long-term risks.

If you’re against AI, do you think you’ll eventually be left behind? Will refusing to adopt AI tools put individuals and businesses at a disadvantage, or is there still value in keeping things 100% human-driven?

Is AI truly the future, or will there always be space for those who stick to traditional ways? Let’s hear your take! :)

While AI can be good to improve on things such as for medical and scientific research, it cannot, and must never, replace human capability and talent. Allowing Meta to write Instagram posts for you is a big no-no, for one thing.

If companies like Google are going to go down the route of doing stupid things like that, and take away what we learnt to do ourselves for all our lives, then I'm quite happy to miss out all that and just spend the rest of my life without internet. No point going on it only to see that everything's automated without human input, which more or less makes the internet of what it is today, and thirty-odd years ago.

I think it all boils down how AI is being used. You have some people that are abusing AI systems by making nude videos and pictures of others, which is a serious offense.

You also have those that are making fake graphic/images that make people fearful of certain situations.

However, AI as a content tool and idea tool, is a great thing to do. It’s designed to empower us and improve our work flow.

But there still has to be a balance in place. If the entire internet is covered with ai generated content, will the internet be okay? Probably not, it was built with humans creating and making content.

If we take the entire human aspect out of websites and forums, we’ll have a major issue going on. We don’t want to see this happen. Social media sites, video places and other websites are full of ai generated concepts & it’s off putting in some aspects.

The authenticity and uniqueness of the internet is what makes it a great place to be, AI is changing the entire foundation of everything.

It’s the future, but we should use it to our advantage and to boast our creativity, not to fully use it to write, create & develop everything for us. That’s where the problem lies.

AI is the big thing now and it has managed to creep into almost every aspect of our lives. It is likely that those resisting AI would find themselves out of business. It’s similar to when the physical stores refused to leverage e-commerce. AI could be some good help to automate some tedious task.
I think AI will be the downhill of SEO, and I was talking about this yesterday with Cpvr he told me because of AI overviews all sites experience less search engine traffic according to Googles team. I still refuse to embrace AI on my forums. I will always prefer real discussions, and unique content. Quality over quantity.

AI is a good tool for some things, but IMO not really for forums. Yeah it's fine if English isn't your first language and you're using it to help post on English speaking forums, but using it for automation and posts to make it look like it came from another member just doesn't look great IMO. So I don't think I'll miss out on much for not using AI.

Who exactly will see themselves out of business if they’re not utilizing AI? Graphic designers, content creators, business owners? Absolutely not.

If people are resisting the use of it, it’s because they see value in utilizing their own skills that they’ve developed over the years. AI makes it easier to do things, however, it’s not a fundamentally replacement to those that were able to be successful without it.

You are getting me wrong. I am not saying AI will displace people totally from their jobs or profession. I'm saying AI has a great impact in most of the industries. It can't possibly replace the creativity of professionals. Never, because it lacks emotional depth.

I'm not totally against AI. I know there are some problems, but it can also be really helpful. If we use technology wisely, it can bring good changes. So.. I think it’s better to find a balance instead of just saying no and missing out..

Don't matter if you're against it or not, AI is here and will be apart of everyone's life. Bow down to your future lords lol.

A tool used as a tool properly applied is good.

AI unfortunately has no guard rails in place at this time and the government isn't indicating that they care yet to legislate any guard rails. So the data grab is rampant and unfettered.

Everything you indicate to AI and and online content is being taken without any consideration of copyright or personal data.

We are being extremely profiled.

I'll ignore it like I have been. :P Alright I'll admit I've used AI to make artwork for fun but I never used it for any of my websites or Youtube channel and I really don't want to use it for any of my projects. I just used it to make some funny images and to generate a Kentucky Derby hat for a contest on Forum Promotion.
