We've been hard at work over the last few weeks to bring you this new and improved version of Administrata. We're extremely proud to see our vision come to life under version two!

 

The new theme is a throwback to the styles of the past - before everything became flat like today. It's inspired by a classic ZetaBoards theme, designed with responsiveness and performance in mind. We've also improved readability with better contrast and font sizing.

 

A huge thank you to [mention=84]SarahKik[/mention] for designing this version and [mention=33]DohTheme[/mention] for making it compatible with XenForo. There are still a few minor things to tweak, but those will be addressed soon.

• Collapsible header – You'll find a blue button to the right to toggle it.
  
• Events in the header – Stay updated with the latest happenings.
  
• Site of the Month in the header – Easily see which site is featured.
  
• Administrata Cloud – A new affordable service we're offering!
  
• Plus Recommendations – Free links for our Plus Members (not collapsible).

It was initially based on a ZetaBoards theme so going a bit back in the day was definitely the idea. It was a challenge for DohTheme making it work on XenForo, but I'm very happy with the results. :)

Just to note, I don't see the header with the events, SOTM, and the bubble ads. Is that permission based?

I like the appearance as well as the changes being implemented. Thank you for introducing forum credits to be used for the payment for account upgrade.

Good point. There's a few minor changes still incoming, so I'll add it to the list. :)

The top one is likely a cache issue, should resolve itself in a bit. If not, feel free to report back.

 

The second one is indeed known and will also be resolved this weekend.

Great updates, I love the new layout of the forum sections and the additions of a few new sections which are always eventually needed on a growing community such as Administrata. :)

 

I've switched back to the original theme just for the time being, mainly because I like it so much and find change difficult at times, but I sincerely promise to revisit the new theme again in a week or two. I'm sure by that time it'll be even better too as any small issues will have been ironed out.

 

Here's to hoping that these changes help to spark Administrata to life just a little more - we've had a great few months recently, but more growth for our great community is always welcome!

The new theme is nice, but I liked the old theme better. Everything flowed nicely on it.

I like this better because it seems more "XF native". I'm sure it's easier to upkeep than most DoH styles are if it's not dependent on other things.

 

I am migrating to something similar so that it can be the child of the parent XF style and update without issues.

 

I updated from a 2.3.4 DoH style to 2.3.6 when I updated to XF 2.3.6 and it was missing a template. They've still not fixed the issue.

 

Will be much easier when I have a solid, nice-looking (based on major CSS edits, but the core is the same), to merge child themes.

 

It's the last time I use a 3rd party style; I've had too many issues with 3rd party styles (not to single DoH out), having to wait on them to upgrade XF, that it's just not worth buying them anymore when I can invest in a solid style that'll merge with each core XF update without issue. I'm having one done based on XF's parent so that it will upgrade with XF with no issue.

It's trying to force me to use push notifications, and when I click the "X" another block appears at the bottom of the page that I cannot remove unless I enable push notifications. I don't use push notifications on any sites, including my own.

I had to look closely. I couldn't see the font to click "Never Ask Again". The white font blended in too much with the background.

That’s purely intentional. 😎😂 No, I’m kidding. I’ll fix that later today. It was on the list but haven’t gotten to it.
