Some folks see a license as an investment. Others? They’re straight-up collectors. (Looking at you, frm! 😂)

So, who here is sitting on the biggest license stash? And for which platforms? Got any licenses just gathering dust - maybe even ones you won’t part with, no matter what? Let’s hear it! :D

I've got only 2 XenForo licenses, both in use. Used to own 7 licenses, but figured I didn't need them at all. So I sold most of them. Also have an Invision Community v5 license, in use.

I rent an xf license via xfcloud.

I have a UBB.Threads license as well as a Woltlab Suite license. I have an expired Xenforo license too that I used for VG Challenges but I merged that with a few of my other forums in 2023 to create Thee Zone.

They’re straight-up collectors. (Looking at you, @frm! 😂)

To renew my "collection" when a more stable version of XF drops (speaking 2.4).

:p

(And it'll probably be higher by then, too, as I keep adding more when somebody wants to sell. It's just no longer advantageous to get one and risk getting ripped off [again] by transferring money first [as to why I ask for the license first in most case-I won't risk my rep on $140-150ish, or even thousands, at that] when I can pay $165 for a bare bones license directly from XF when discounts are applied... in the case someone doesn't want to transfer first, $165 is the better option over losing $140).

I am always on the lookout for XF licenses.

If you have a fair price and are willing to transfer first, send me a PM for an instant sale.

I feel like a small timer here lol. Currently have 2 IC v5 licenses and a XF one. Don't want to get rid of the IC ones as after two years you lose total access to it, which is not a good idea in my opinion.

Yeah, that’s still a bad decision they made. But I guess that’s a normal business decision. It’s not just IC that does that, many companies already do this and more are converting to that model too.

Tell me you’re rich without telling me you’re rich. 🤑

You’re not the only one. I only own one license. I don’t plan on buying another one, unless I change my mind and decide to launch another forum, but that’s highly unlikely.
