How much time do you spend on your forum or blog or website? Do you think you spend too much time on it or not enough or just the right amount? How much time do you think someone should spend on their site?

I spend a few hours a day on my forum. Whether it’s going through my directory changing things, interlinking some posts/threads, posting new content, responding to current posts or actively promoting.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that I spend too much time on my forum. It’s my project, so I’m going to water it until it blossoms even more.

A few hours a day! Wow - may i ask how active your forum us? Perhaps as mine is quite inactive, I do not need to spend that much time.

We’re currently averaging 100-300 posts a day with 25-40 daily logins. I also spend a lot of time actively promoting, which is included in my time spent on my site.

I generally always have an opened tab for my forum, so I can keep track of what’s going on while I’m doing other things.

Talk to me more about this.

What does this look like? Where/how are you spending time promoting?

Sure then! I’d start by promoting on these forums:

As much as I can, working in IT I’m on a PC most of the time so normally quite easy to do stuff.

I check in on my site every day. How much time I can spend on my site depends on if I have to go to work that day. If it's my day off, I can spend all day on it if I want to. But if I have to work, I might be able to be on it for a couple of hours.
I spent a significant amount of time on my website, probably more than I can admit because I am responsible to stay on top of things, respond to posts and moderate things as well. After all, it's my project, I have to nurture it.

What type of forum do you currently run? What niche is it in? Are you the only staff member?

It's a finance forum. Yes, I'm the only staff member there. It's a lot of work though. 🤣
