Forum Name: Archive

Site Link: https://archive.forumotion.me/

Description:

Archive forum is not like most forums out there. This forum has no discussion involved and yet there he stands. The main idea behind the forum is to use it for archiving things you need, group it in one place and use it when needed. Think about it. We tend to have plenty of important stuff saved all over the place and when we need to find it, it becomes really hard because we might forget where we saved it.

No worries with this forum. You can add all important things there, archive them in a way you find suitable and then, when needed, use the info. The design is minimalistic and generic because forum is not intended to impress users, but rather allow them to save their stuff.

Please read the rules, it won't take you much of your time: https://archive.forumotion.me/t2-how-to-use-this-forum

Hope to see you there, and looking forward seeing how you archive stuff.

Interesting concept. I've done something similar on forums before by having a private forum as my "office." How do you plan to help users find their content if the board gets large? Are replies and discussion allowed?

Discussion is not allowed, it is only read-only so to say forum. Author can open his topic and post whatever he wants to archive but others should not post there (unless author is fine with it).

Users can find their content via his profile:

This is a interesting take on a forum. I usually think of wikis when it comes to storing information. I also would have gone with self hosting rather than using Forumotion myself.

The only reason I took this is because I know they will never shut down hosting, they have unlimited data allowed, I am familiar with platform itself and I don't need super dooper awesome things there, but look by default is good enough. It is just for archiving.
