Posted January 28Jan 28 Say there's a subject you're passionate about or of particular interest. What are the reasons you didn't create a forum for that niche? Was it money, lack of motivation/drive, feeling the niche is oversaturated, etc?
January 28Jan 28 There is a subject, one which I would be the SME, and it has profit potentials. But it just felt like work after a short while and I just didn't really enjoy it. CLASSIFIED: TOP SECRET
January 28Jan 28 Content Team Part of me has always wanted to make a forum for one of my favorite music artist named Dan Mason, but I feel like it wouldn't be worth it since he's got a Discord server for people who support him and fans too. I just don't think it would really take off. Love roleplaying games? So do we on RPG Haven!
January 29Jan 29 I have many hobbies that I would prefer not making a forum about. It's mainly because I don't see the audience being too thrilled about using a forum. I try to research audiences as much as possible to mainly retain skills in marketing and copywriting. So, it's a hobby of mine to do it. A few of my passions in life just doesn't make sense for a forum so I'll never start one in it. Instead, I'll go where the audience is and create there. February 9Feb 9 Content Team I've been a football (soccer for Americans) referee since I was a teenager and I've always thought about wanting to open a forum specifically for referees. However, there's already a couple that are fairly well established, and any attempted challengers to them have died a quick death just due to them being such a niche use and not particularly active for small chunks of time. (off-season) I don't think I ever will venture into creating this type of forum, but I do still think about it from time to time. :p Looking to grow your community and encourage engagement? I coached football and baseball back then. It was popular until the school athletic departments put up their own forum. General Forums - Where People Converse
February 10Feb 10 Moderators I have, I was thinking of starting a makeup forum which I decided against because I have found a makeup forum that I like and there are actually a few Canadian's on there who I've actually worked with on set. Though I must admit it isn't as active as I'd like it to be, and they have been pushing for premium membership (they've asked me twice since I've joined like a month ago). Ultimately, I don't think I'm going to start a makeup forum primarily because I have already found a makeup forum that I enjoy, and I also don't have the time that I can dedicate to being a forum owner. So for now just posting on a makeup forum is good enough.
February 10Feb 10 I have thought of a dozen sites i would enjoy and enjoy making. That said; time, energy, funding, suggests I need to focus on just one interest anyway. I am good with that. CLASSIFIED: TOP SECRET
