January 8Jan 8 Just having passed my "1st day" (I didn't really have a so called launch though), for me its all about content creation and maybe fine tuning some things. I have a punch list about a mile long of things I want to do, but right now just filling some forums and pages etc. I want my guests to have enough browsing material to keep them interested. January 8Jan 8 I have not been sharing or promoting with the exception of admin forums as you see here. My first order of business was getting the functionality and layout done. Not fully satisfied with how it looks but it is going to stay this way for awhile yet. My punch list consists primarily with tightening up some areas that bug me, as well as expanding the features available to member groups, as they make sense. My prioritization lays entirely of content right now. But I am drafting a few things that may be very good for the community. To be fair, I am one of those types that is always adding to the punch list and knocking it down by need. It never gets completed. CLASSIFIED: TOP SECRET
January 8Jan 8 I am in the process of launching a new forum. Once I have everything set up the fun begins. I concentrate on content. I used to have a partner to help seed new communities when we started them. It's my job now. I haven't opened a new, no old content from a former site, in a while. Years in fact. I'm excited as well as scared. To seed it this time since I will buy a package from here. I am also using a paid to post model. The first 25 members that sign up and contribute 25 topics will be founders and will get paid to post. Working out the details. members after the first 25 will also have a paid to post model. All I can say is it's a general discussion forum. Coming soon. General Forums - Where People Converse

January 12Jan 12 Administrators What does/did day one of launching your forum look like? You just launched your forum. What do you do on day one? Are you focusing on content creation or marketing? Maybe both? What does the first day of a forum launch look like for you? On the first day of launching my forum, I focus on setting up the categories, writing forum descriptions, and seeding the forum with content. I like to start with a few forums and a minimal number of categories. Once I have a decent amount of content on the forums, I begin reaching out to other forum owners and engage in post exchanges. I also create social media pages to promote the forum and spread the word. I prefer starting my forum with at least 20–30 topics to ensure it doesn’t feel empty when I start inviting other users to join. During the first couple of days, I’m heavily focused on content creation. This helps set the tone for the community and ensures there’s enough content for users to engage with from the start.
