Oftentimes we'll use User Notes to make comments about the members who are violating the site rules. Would you ever want members to see their own user notes? Why or why not?

No, not really, but then I've stopped using usernotes practically everywhere, so there's not much for users to see about themselves.
I don't think it was the purpose of users seeing what notes admins put on them, it may cause some hard feelings for no reason so I would have to say no, the notes would be kept to site staff.

At first I thought they were able to see them.. So I was hesitant to use them. Until I realized they weren't able to see them, lol.

I thought that when I first started using Xenforo, but after some testing I noticed they cant, It's a good feature for large forums with multiple moderators.

Agreed.

I didn't even really use them at all until most of my staff members on AJ started using them.
