Yes, member engagement makes me feel my forum is more of a success than a failure. That gets me motivated to do greater things with it.

Absolutely! Member engagement on my forum motivates me and keeps me going as a forum owner. It’s truly inspiring to see members having fun and actively contributing.

It's always nice to see members enjoy something that I've worked so hard on so of course it gets me a lot more motivated to keep active and keep thinking of ways to improve the forum.

When the forum goes quiet for a while it can be discouraging so when I see members post and enjoy the forum I too get excited and want to join in on the fun. It's also nice to feel like all that hard work and dedication wasn't all for nothing.

Of course. Engagement is what makes us happy. A dead forum is what makes us demotivated.

I remember a time when we had over 1k posts a day. It's still possible, but rarely see it nowadays.

If you would have said no, I would have stopped posting. 😜

All joking aside though I agree that years and years ago 1k posts a day was common but now it seems like it is rare if it does happen.

I think this still happens with a lot of forum games going on, like:

“Count to 100”

“Count to 1,000”

While it doesn’t contribute much to quality posting, it’s still engagement and fun for those who enjoy counting!

Forum games are a great way to boost engagement and increase post counts. However, they’re one of the few things that make reaching 1,000 posts as achievable as it was in the past.

Absolutely, it's nice when members start posting because you don't seem crazy just replying to yourself all the time. :P Of course it's good to add content when your members aren't online, but it can get lonely if you're the only one posting.
