I'm looking to have a custom header created for an existing site. I could order more work to be done in the future, including more headers for different themes and some signature banners, but I figured we'd try a site header to begin with and see how it goes.

 

Let me give the concept of what I would want for starters, and maybe that would help you with knowing how long it might take. I want to take an image like the following, and duplicate its reverse and then put the two together, so that there is an eagle on either side, and then superimpose the site name and logo in the middle. Think we could do this?

It would replace the area that currently has a GIF with an eagle on it below:

Actually, let's try superimposing this.

 

Top line in fine print:

I bore you on eagle's wings (Exodus 19:4)

 

Middle line in Large Bold print (and slightly larger than this proportionately):

P.S. I would want the finished product to be the same dimensions proportionately to the sliding notices, as in this image below. Slightly wider, and about 3 and 1/8s inch tall (on a 21.5" computer screen. Hope that helps, LoL).:

The site is here, and I asked him to take down the GIF. So that space is now currently vacated, but I'll have my guy install what we decide on after the 27th.

I might actually favor the second one, only we'd have to do something about the text. I'm going for a more refined look overall, and the text seems too... blocky. I was also going to ask if we could try for using a color with a white border around it for the Christian Forums large text. And you'd definitely want to center the lower text like you did in the last one, maybe raise it a touch closer to the big text, and possibly try a little cursive to something to again avoid the blocky look. But one eagle offset to the right does seem to be a better look.

Third one isn't terrible, btw. With these applications it might look good as well (just commenting that I hadn't scrapped the idea of using both eagles yet. Depends on the finished product. But the second is better, so thanks for taking the liberty to do things a little differently)..

I'm going to have 3 themes for that forum, and I might like having a couple of headers per theme just to change things up now and then.

 

Can we do that? I like your work, and you're easy to work with and fast, There's also some work I could have you do in the future on creating what I term "signature banners," but we could get to that down the road.

Btw, we'd probably be looking at the same basic pattern, so it might be even easier moving forward. I'm currently toying with the idea of doing a black theme using the following image, so it would basically be just going through the same steps to see what looks best again next time.

Sorry I'm late. Had to go into work for awhile..

 

Having trouble deciding now, so let's go with two:

 

1. The 2nd from the Cursive batch, but with straight print for the underlying text ("One Forum") rather than slanted. and

2. The 2nd from the Second batch (Banner-2), but with cursive print for the underlying text rather than straight.

 

I think those two are your best, and it will give me a chance to switch things out and reverse the image now and then when I'm looking for a change.

 

Send me a confirmation of the above (2nd from Cursive with straight underlying text, and 2nd from Banner-2 with cursive underlying text) and a payment plan, and we should be good to go! And thanks (y)

banners you will be needing and we can throw a discount if 5 or more is ordered.

 

Payment can be upfront or 50% now and 50% on completion as you would prefer, however get back me on the total

amount and lets see how we can throw in a good discount for you.

 

Please note:

• no extra cost for reverts (generally we find a solution within 3 reverts)
  
• All banners will have the same treatment in terms of mockup and review before final approval.
  
• You may have all banners mocked up throughout the process and will be delivered with the finals for future reference.

Bransol, let's do this. $30 seems like a really good price already that I wouldn't mind just taking things step by step and do stuff one at a time (i.e. and forego worrying about any discounts for now). The thing is, it may be a little time before I can get to those other themes, and I don't even know what the 3rd one will be yet.
