I know it is not easy, sometimes programmers have to sit in a particular spot for hours working on a project. This can make one tired and stressed.

One thing that can help is to take breaks often. You can take off few minutes to stretch, to take a walk or anything that can take your mind away from programming for some time.

What else do you think can help?

Do something that engages a different part of your brain. Coding is a creative endeavour, and the monotony is what leads to stress and feeling weary. Do something that engages a different part of the body and mind. If you cannot do this, take a nap. I find that it always helps when I am having a tough time.

One has to be mindful of the mental debt that is incurred when switching context though.
