What hosting do you prefer to use?

When it comes to hosting and the different types, whilst many of us may be happy with the standard shared hosting which is quite affordable, some of us prefer to stay clear of shared hosting.

When you purchase hosting for your websites, which hosting do you prefer to purchase? What is your reason for that choice?

It depends. I have free hosting, shared hosting, and VPS hosting for different needs.

For some personal projects and proofs of concept, I use the free hosting.

For most of my client work, I use shared hosting. Most people and businesses are more than happy with what a good shared hosting account provides.

VPS hosting is best for when I need a lot of computational power or need to configure a server in a specific way. For example, I might need SSH and admin privileges that shared hosting might not give me but that VPS hosting does.
