What do you do as your job/career?

I'm a surveillance operator.

I monitor surveillance cameras for violations and cheating, maintain the cameras and switches powering them, conduct investigations for the law enforcement operations of the property, and watch for regulatory violations.

This is in the casino sector.

My first ever job I was a secretary through my school work program. I really enjoyed it, but didn't work many hours as I was still in high school. My only other job has been teaching. I've been at the same school and have been teaching for going on 8 years? I taught Special Education for 6 years and now I'm teaching Social Studies!

Glorified cashier in a wholesale warehouse. Front-end Supervisor. I'm still carrying the title "Blame Acceptance Specialist", even after leaving Help Desk more than 15 years ago.

I'm a creative director (design, development, project management, marketing, team lead).
These are the kinds of jobs that I'd probably be interested in, but... I probably lack the college education, the network, the experience, and knowing the correct job titles (LOL). Not just for the leadership part, I couldn't care less about that. I love to create.

I actually only have a degree in marketing communications and a propaedeutic diploma in Informatics. ;) And, to be fair, I never looked at someone's educational achievements whenever I was involved in the hiring process for creative positions. I (and pretty much every company I ever worked at) mostly look at your portfolio instead.

I was lucky to get a job as a creative developer after completing a 6-month voluntary internship as a designer / frontend developer. After switching jobs a couple of times, I ended up at the company I currently work at. I began as a creative developer here as well, but over the years, my role changed due to new projects, my skillset and the team's growth, ultimately leading me to my current position as a creative director.

Also - while it may seem like I have 5 roles in 1, that isn't really the case. I do work on most projects myself because I enjoy actually designing / developing things myself, but my main responsibility is just to ensure that things get done (and that everything that goes out aligns with our brand, of course) - whether I do it myself or delegate it to someone else, whether inside or outside the company.
