It's not really designed for the type of banner you have in mind.

If you'd overwrite the settings (in Extra less template), your banner would look like this:

I'd rather not try to force something. And the result doesn't look as appealing to the eye as what I see in my head. I've got a long, steep learning curve ahead of me! LOL
