1. I very much find myself often thinking that the rise of social media and specifically the algorithms that power them and glue people's eyes and attention to the app (which I feel genuinely should be, and probably will be, treated as a serious form of addiction in the future) has caused many negative effects for society in general, and one of those less important areas but definitely an area affected nonetheless is forums and online communities. 15-20 years ago, before the meteoric rise of Facebook and before the algorithms were truly "developing addiction" as I like to call it, online forums & chatrooms were generally thriving communities - there were thousands of forums online with daily active members reaching into the thousands, a few into the tens of thousands. Forums were bustling, as were chatrooms and Instant Messenger-type apps, and there was a real sense of community on a lot of those platforms. Fast forward to nowadays and it seems like the algorithms primarily promote harmful or generally horrific content, because they know it's what'll draw the eyes in, but with no thoughts of the effects watching those videos is having on the people consuming the content. Forums are dying off, chatrooms are now almost exclusively the haunt of either predators or nefarious people dabbling in other online criminal activities, and IM has been largely replaced by FaceTime or in some cases social media's own integrated "live" features. It is a disappointing time for places where "real" communities tend to develop, because a lot of eyes are being diverted away and ultimately it's a detriment to small websites & communities, to the favour of big-data tech companies who care not one iota about "community" but are purely driven by the ideology of profit, profit, profit. It's quite sad that I'm not sure when, or if, this trend will ever begin to reverse, but I for one sure hope it does one day.

7. This is the reason why I myself always attempt to spread my posts out as much as possible. I'll never make more than 2-3 posts without waiting for other people to post too, as I feel that just makes the content look more natural. I just hope you realise and appreciate that my own lack of timekeeping on this particular order is not out of laziness, but out of wanting to ensure the best and most natural looking content is delivered. To that end, I hope to finish up my small remaining part of this order over the next couple of nights, and hope this is OK with you. I know you've waited a long time for completion of this order already. :) In regards to a plugin or add-on that changes the thread posting date, which from your description is what I think you're after, I'm not aware of a plugin for XenForo that does this. There are plugins offering this functionality on MyBB and phpBB softwares though. If there is not an add-on for this, which I suspect as I'm sure Cedric would be aware, the alternative is to manually edit the posttime field in the database. I can provide more instructions on how to do this via PM, if you need them. Feel free to reach out. EDIT: There are two XenForo plugins I have found that provide this functionality. Unsure if either of them are up-to-date or compatible with your version of XF, as I'm not very well versed in XF myself, but here: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/change-post-date-by-xon.6077/ https://xenforo.com/community/resources/change-date.5608/

I can definitely see that for somebody who might not be a regular forum'er as such, seeing several members with the "same" profile pic/avatar might be confusing and might lead some to think that they are duplicate accounts. This is actually a really good insight from somebody "outside the bubble" of these types of forums in general, so thank you. It might be nice if we could have a few different "default" avatars, and have one randomly "allocated" to each member when they sign up. I'm sure this would require a custom plugin if something doesn't exist already, but I have a feeling it'd be a very small development and heck could be something someone here on the community might be able to whip up for us.
11. It really depends for me on what we're meaning by "over-engagement". If I log on to a forum and see that the latest ten posts were all made by the admin of the site, that's a subtle signal to me that the community likely isn't very active. Naturally, it'll be the kind of site I'll gravitate away from, just because I tend to check the new/latest posts section for a gauge on the activity of a site. I have no problem with admins being a bit contributor to their forum overall - in fact, on almost all forums I'm a member of, the admin(s) have the highest post count of anyone on the forum - and that's fine. That's to be expected over a significant period of time - but I always like to say that, once a site reaches a certain size, a good admin should be "seen" but relatively infrequently "heard", as such. :)
12. Love this song atm!

15. For a small forum, I can't really imagine a situation where paying somebody to manage your social media accounts would be a better option than investing that money in direct forms of advertising... however, for businesses, organisations or small charities, often they will need a social media manager (who might have other responsibilities, like general organisation communications or admin) as it is quite demanding if your social media accounts receive a lot of engagement.
16. I keep forgetting about this order... big apologies... will really be attempting to get my two parts completed over the next 2-3 days, 1stop could you please update with your progress on the last spot & also update the post on the first page of the thread detailing your progress.

I live by a pizza code - if the toppings don't include at least 3 different types of meat, then the pizza isn't worth eating.
20. Where do you find these projects, Cpvr ? :ROFLMAO: Could be interesting, but I've seen way too many of these small one man band projects come and go to know that it'll likely go nowhere. I mean, last updates to anything related to the Alpha version of this software was 5 months ago... doesn't fill me with hope. :(

I'd already been "pre-warned" that when the ending came around, I'd be massively frustrated. I didn't realise the ending had arrived really to be honest, as the final season seemed shorter than the other seasons, or at least felt like it went faster, but almost immediately when I started hearing the tense music playing about 5-10 mins before the episode end I had a feeling that it was about to come... I have to say, overall, it's one of the most unsatisfying pieces of TV I've ever experienced! About to head off to work in 20 mins or so for a early Sunday morning (5am start!) shift today... luckily only a 8 hour shift so should be just about bearable! See you soon, Administratans!
