1. I've posted it before, and I don't care, I'm posting it again! I love it so much! :ROFLMAO:

Oh man... it's been such a busy few days for me and I've not had hardly any time to be able to get on Administrata much or work on any of my personal projects either which is sad! That being said, I have the rest of the week completely free with the exception of a few hours on Friday & Saturday so I have plenty of time now to catch up with stuff here and get some of my own things done! Hope everyone has had a great holiday period and looking forward to seeing in the New Year at Administrata with you all! :)

At a risk of even further derailing this thread (sorry Cloaked!), what on the earth do you need 10 XenForo licenses for? I've never administered a XenForo forum, do they force you to purchase a new license for each forum? That's quite shocking to me if so actually. I'd have thought buying what is a relatively expensive software package would entitle you to use it at least more than once... This being said, surely you don't have 10 forums in the pipeline...? Or maybe I'm wrong and you have ambitions to become the busiest webmaster/admin in history. :ROFLMAO:

Ah, gotcha! He actually says "no cap girl I can't lie" which essentially means "I'm not lying". But I can understand where you got that from... maybe just maybe I'm wrong and you're right and there has been hidden meaning in this song all along for me! Oh man, I love music. Learning the guitar has been such an adventure. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for something creative to do! I am one of the least creative people in the world, and I'm particularly bad at learning new things, but I've had a blast with this!

Will Am, C, F, G work in this without a capo? Music theory is not my thing at all... but that sounds super easy, I already play a song quite well that is just those four chords with an occasional Cadd7. How did you deduce that he's singing about a Capricorn? That's so creepy...! Weirdly enough, my first real girlfriend (who I'm still friends with and really got me into this song) was born on Christmas day, so is a... Capricorn... That's eerie now.

Thank you for your work good sir! I struggle with some bars, obviously the B and F are difficult but I manage to bodge them pretty well. I will probably struggle with this because of the G#m and F#, but now that I've got a basic idea I can try and cheat it using a capo, so thank you very much for your work here. :D

I've re-marked this thread as "Revision Needed" just to alert BRANSOL to this for you. I'm sure they will be with you asap, thanks for your patience. :)

Good afternoon Administrata! Do we have any guitarists in the house?! I am a relatively new guitar player, only learned a little bit in the last few months really. At a pretty basic level, but can now play a few tunes rather badly. I am in desperate need of guitar chords for this song: I've searched high and low online, given it's a really obscure song from an obscure artist nobody has published any chords anywhere and there's only actually a couple of sites that even have the lyrics. (if you notice, the YT video has about 850k views, and I kid you not 10k+ are probably me :ROFLMAO: ) If we have any experienced guitarists here who would be so kind as to listen to this song and work out a chord pattern for it, I will absolutely be the happiest fdk in the whole of Europe and I will of course make sure you're handsomely rewarded with a hefty donation of Credits. :)
9. Great thread! I've spent so much time writing detailed rules & terms and conditions for my websites in the past, in the full knowledge there was not likely to be more than a handful of people who'd actually read them. I think if I were to start a new forum now my rules would be pretty basic and covered by the general "don't be a dick" rule.
10. This is a great take actually. There are absolutely some sites where a chatbox could be beneficial. For most, it'll take away from activity on the actual forum, and for some, that may be fine - their main goal or metric of measuring their site activity may include activity in their chatbox, they may not value or attribute the same "value" to a permanent thread or post that others do. I would say that would probably be a minority opinion among forum administrators, though.
11. A small update - I've finally managed to get some basic interactions with battle stats working in the battle system. I took the opportunity to learn a little CSS so I could style the battling pages just a little bit - I'll learn more of this later and work on updating other pages in the game to be consistent with some styling. Here's a sneak peek of the new battle system in action! If you want to come and have a play around, you can find the test environment at https://heroel.com/src/ - we'll be glad to have you! An email address is required for registration, but no confirmation is required, so feel free to enter any email address! Also, as I've said previously and in case anybody missed it - this is just a test environment, I'm developing on this environment so things will likely break frequently. Feel free to create multiple accounts and try and break things however you like! If you find any issues please post in this thread and I'll try to fix whatever I can with my limited skill, or get the advice I need to fix it. :)
12. Back when I first started using forums, it seemed a pretty commonplace method for people to find threads they had previously participated in was simply to go to their posts and find the thread from there. Absolutely it took slightly more time, but that was what forums were back then. I completely take on your point about the email alerts - however for me this was something I never personally used and I know plenty of people who never used that feature and never would. But I do understand the point behind email providers beginning to mark such emails as spam, and that's one factor that I definitely didn't consider. Yes it's had 15 years to implement a notification system and I'm guessing from the fact that they haven't done so that they didn't feel it was necessary previously. As I said, I certainly don't feel it's a "necessary" addition for a forum - useful sure, but not a deal-breaker, at least for me. Your point about the mobile-friendly themes is a completely different one, and one I agree with 100% actually. That's one thing I'm happy to bash MyBB about. The lack of development in the mobile area has been really disappointing, especially considering it's been quite clear to most for years that mobile is the way people are browsing the internet moving forward into the future.
13. I don't quite agree on one aspect - the alerts system. Alerts systems were never originally needed for forums - forums were exactly the kind of place alerts weren't needed, as at least when I was younger, forums were supposed to be something dipped in and out of - you discussed only the things that interested you, and you went back to posts you'd made frequently to check if anyone had replied to you - alerts just weren't envisioned as a core feature needed. Granted, it's absolutely possible that MyBB could've moved with the times and implemented systems similar to what XenForo and vBulletin have, but at the same time, I like the fact that MyBB has retained a lot of it's "core values" as much - which is that forums are meant to be relatively simple places. Sometimes I think members appreciate a break from a forum/social media/website or whatever it might be that is constantly demanding their attention by notification.

I've said elsewhere that I have an intense hatred for Facebook that's slowly developed over the last 10 years or so. It's got to the point now that I don't use Facebook at all personally, and only go on it for work purposes. When I was younger and was a frequent Facebooker, nothing would frustrate me more than "liking" a page only to be incessantly spammed by the page admin with repeated notifications and tags. I vaguely remember one day sitting down with the intention of "unliking" all pages I'd liked to stop all these notifications (if I remember, this was before you could disable notifications for individual pages), and after an hour or so of unliking and realising I still had thousands to go, giving up. :ROFLMAO: I absolutely don't mind being tagged and notified on a forum - it's a different sort of situation. Also, most forums offer the ability to turn off notifications and have pretty good notification systems.
15. No problem at all, we're at your service! I'll get onto this order over the next couple of days. :)
16. I've taken a spot on this request! :)
17. Hi Hulk I just wanted to confirm - would you like me to register a new account on Chatosaur instead of using my existing one to complete these threads on this order? I'll wait for you to confirm which you'd prefer before I start. Thanks!

Unfortunately Admin Junkies has seemed a little slow lately, it's been difficult to complete this package. Having said that, I have now managed to complete my assigned 20 threads, so we're now just awaiting one final member of the [uSERGROUP=6]@Content Team[/uSERGROUP] (or Cory / Cpvr ) to take the final position and get this order finished up. Thanks for your patience Nomad and hopefully you are satisfied with the quality of the content delivered! :)

I've always been interested in American Football - visually it seems like a very similar game to our rugby, however, having got well into American Football over the past few years and learned a lot about it - it's not at all similar, it's a very very different game. I'd love to try my hand at playing, unfortunately there are very few teams here in the UK, they're geographically spread, and most actually play a slightly different version of Football called "Flag Football" which just seems to take out a lot of the contact which is no fun, that's why I'm interested in the first place!
21. I'm sure I've posted this song before, but I'm absolutely in love with it, have been for years and can't stop sharing it! :ROFLMAO:
22. It's an interesting concept, but one that I think should develop later in the life of a website/forum rather than one being envisioned from the outset. I personally did something similar on my biggest forum many years ago. When we reached the point of having tens of thousands of members, several hundred of whom were active every single day, and thousands visiting monthly, I decided that the first 100 users would all receive a title of "Original Baller" (we were a football forum). Of the 100 members who received this title, about 25 of them continued to be active at this point, a rate I was pretty surprised and also very happy with. It was a good idea I think in general and certainly these members definitely appreciated the individual recognition they received for being a part of helping build the forum to what it became, so I can certainly see that this would be a great idea for others.
23. Google AdSense used to work brilliantly for me and my forums, and enabled us to earn a small but significant income that we could use to invest in extra features, advertising, graphics & such for the site, but this was many years ago. I've heard many stories of people not having such a good time with AdSense in the last five years or so especially, so I'm unsure if there's another network that people who are running ads on their website are generally using now, or if people are just putting up with a mediocre service from Google.
