1. A big welcome to Matthew Phillip and King Belieal who've all joined the team since I was last around. Really looking forward to working with you, getting to know you all and welcoming you to the Administrata team! :)
2. Never had any problems like that with any of my staff, only issues were ever members complaining about moderation actions taken against them. On the odd occasion, their complaint would be justified, and it would be dealt with appropriately (with the moderator involved always supported and encouraged to not be afraid to make occasional mistakes). Incidents were rare though. I certainly was never contacted about any staff being involved in financial scams or anything like that, that'd be a definite no for me for obvious reasons. If I did receive such an allegation then I'd obviously conduct an investigation best as I could and then determine action to take from there.

Welcome to Administrata, Eclipse Great to have you on board and really glad you found the place, I'm sure all the resources available and the opportunities for promotion will help you to grow your forums and I wish you all the best of luck. :)
4. This is a really difficult vote for me this month. Looking at the forums, and considering the theme of the vote being "Best Forum Design", I'm really stuck between voting for jCodes, Virtual Pet List, or Classified: Top Secret. All have absolutely great designs and I only wish we could register multiple votes! 😵‍💫 I think I'll take another day or so to think on it a bit more before making a final vote... Good luck to all!
5. A little morning pick me up before I head into work for a short Sunday morning shift. :)

I'm enjoying my participation on ROFLMAO more and more, and activity on there is at really good levels too. Congrats frm on the continued success!
7. One of the most beautiful songs I can remember from my teenage years...
8. I've taken the first spot on this order, and will be working on it over the next few days. Thanks! :)
9. I really don't mind if members use avatars or not. On my old forum, I used to have rotating avatars set that would randomly display for people who didn't have one set, but it was niche specific (football players on a football forum) so it kind of worked. I quite frequently forget to upload avatars to forums that I join, but I try to do so when I remember as I do think it generally looks better, and I know some prefer it!
10. 16 would be an absolute minimum age requirement for me, but I'd probably lean more towards 18 as a minimum requirement, depending on the nature of the site. I myself started being an admin/mod on several forums from the age of 13 though, and I'm aware that some people do lie about their age... I do like to talk to people I take on as staff on my site, whether that be through a phone call or a voice call over Skype or something (way back when), so you can usually gauge an age from that, just to be safe. But generally speaking, if someone acts like they're 18, I'd be inclined to believe them.
11. My internet is with Plusnet and I pay about £29 a month for the broadband and a basic landline telephone. No TV package with the internet, but I pay £10 a month extra separately for Netflix.
12. It would depend for me massively on what I intended to do with the community. My forums in the past have always used either MyBB or phpBB as the base software, but have in all cases always been heavily customized with my own snippets of code and extra bits and pieces I've had developers edit and add in. Of course I've always utilized themes and custom plugins too, as well as the stuff that's freely available, although frequently you'll find with these open-source free platforms that the plugins aren't always of the best quality and will frequently require some editing to make work optimally. Like I said, it really depends on what you intend to do with your community. Joining Administrata and being an active member here, as well as using a few of the moderation features just when carrying out Content Order-related stuff has shown me that XenForo is a great platform and the moderation features are probably easier to use than on any software I've used before. However, the moderation features wouldn't usually be a decisive factor for me, I'd be much more focused on what the platform can offer in terms of extra features used to engage members on the site, and the additional plugins that Administrata uses, like the Topsites, Directory and Tasks feature, are a great example of that, in my opinion.
13. Here again with a song I've probably posted multiple times before, but hey....
14. I was looking into business loans during the COVID pandemic, when interest rates were literally like 0.1% and the Government were backing loans for businesses, so banks were throwing money around left, right and centre. I decided against it, mainly because I thought that the jobs market would recover quite quickly and I'd be better off in a secure job than running my own business. That being said, it's always been a dream of mine to run my own business, and I'm somewhat gutted four years or so on from the height of the pandemic that I didn't take advantage of the ridiculously low interest rates and governance around loans at the time. Having looked into it recently, I can tell you one thing for certain - you're not getting a loan for a new business for anything less than 8% APR nowadays, and the lending criteria has tightened significantly. To get any significant kind of funding, you'll likely require a really good personal credit rating and you'll probably need to put collateral down on the loan or something (ie risking your house/car/savings/investments) for the loan. Imo, really not an attractive environment right now, even if I have got a great idea that I think will make a lot of money.

Cam I vaguely remember an Irish fella called Fergal owning FP at some point in the distant past... I believe he also owned another forum called Business Advice Forum around the time... do you know what come of that guy, or if he's still around now?

Oh, I absolutely love reading. I have way too many books to recommend to pick an outright "favourite", though. 11.22.63 by Stephen King was an absolutely great read. A kind of sci-fi time-travel mystery, but done in a way that's really entertaining and weirdly semi-realistic. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson is an incredible book, was adapted for TV film aswell (which was good, but not quite as good for the book)... crime thrillers originating in Scandanavia always seem to be great, to be fair. The Tattooist of Auchswitz was one of the most harrowing books I've ever read, but I'd really recommend it. I believe it's based loosely on a true story of events at a concentration camp during WWII aswell, which makes it that much more meaningful to read.
17. I've taken the first spot on this request. :)

I use Chrome at home (mainly because I have a Chromebook) but have used Chrome for as long as I can remember if I'm honest. At work, all the computers have Microsoft Edge installed as the default browser and I can't be bothered to change it, and I think Edge works just as well as Chrome for me. Not sure if it allows the same level of extensions/plugins as Chrome does, but seeing as I don't need those at work anyway, it doesn't bother me at all.
19. Oh I've had too many funny usernames from members in the past to even remember. "Cristianio Penaldo" was a regular on my football forum (a nod to the notorious diver Cristiano Ronaldo) many years ago, and when we run a forum quiz the same guy decided to name his quiz team "Quiz-teama Aguilera" (Christina Aguilera, famous pop singer). The guy clearly fancied himself as a bit of a comedian.

I'm really not sure what I'd be doing if I hadn't discovered forums. I've learnt so much from them, and so much of my online activity has ultimately stemmed from my involvement (one way or another) with forums, so I'm not even sure I'd be a regular internet user really if I hadn't discovered forums all those years ago as a teenager. :)
