My Staff Is Super Lazy – What should I do?
Ask them to be more active. If not find a new staff member. I don't mind if my staff don't post a lot, but I do require them to have an active presence in my community.

Is managing more than one forum too much?
Forums take a lot of dedication. I think a lot of forum owners have too many forums, and they should focus on one forum. I do have two forums, but I definitely focus on one forum more than the other.

Does your staff help you promote your websites?
Right now it's only me and Cpvr on my staff. I need to be very cautious with who I bring on my team. Reputation is everything in the gambling niche. He does help me advertise my forum, and teaches me tricks with SEO to help me rank my site.

How do you define growth
I define growth by member counts, posts, and daily activity. I like to set post, and member goals I like to achieve to keep myself motivated to grow my community.

Two poker related forums looking for post exchanges
No. I banned your accounts from both my forums for spam. It's not the place to advertise your site. If that's your sole purpose, you will be removed.

Valentines gift x2 20 posts
I got three Valentine's gifts sent to me. I'd like to use 2 of them on poker.community please.

Which forums are you mostly active on?
Mainly my forum, VPL, and admin forums.

Would you sell your forum if you got a reasonable offer?
My forum is bigger than money. I'd turn down big offers for my poker forum if I receive any in the future. I want to see my goals through, and always own my community. I also have a huge vision, and I know there is a ton of potential in my community. How about you? Would you ever sell your forum?
-
What tasks do you reserve for yourself?
I update leaderboards for my forum daily. I also post on social media, talk business with partners...etc.
-
Would you rather buy or build a community?
It's fun to start your own community, and I think it's more rewarding if you build a big board from the ground up. I'd only consider buying a forum if I had the time to manage another one.

Poker Community - Online Poker Forum
We've updated our leaderboards, so mobile users can scroll/left right instead of player stats scrolling past the content area. If you play our daily 75 cent morning Grind, and $1.10 daily grind the top players qualify for $150 freeroll on StockPoker, and $50 freeroll on DarkSidePoker. Mass Spamming
I've dealt with members that signed up with the sole purpose to spam they're links, and they've been banned. I never had a member do it by PM.
-
Your goal for 2025?
Grow my forums into a profitable online business. I also want my main forum to reach 20k+ posts, and 500+ members before 2026.
-
How much do you pay for your server?
I currently pay less than $10 a month for my two forums.
- Why are you not active on your forum?
-
What makes someone a bad community owner?
Neglecting the community, because they don't have time for it. I've seen new forum owners expect over night success when it doesn't happen that way.
-
What's your take on members without an avatar?
I don't mind it. Especially with Xenforo assigning avatars with the first letter of a screen name. Members usually add an avatar once they become more involved in the community.
-
Should members have the right to delete their post?
No. Once content is published, it's owned by the forum.
-
What social media platforms do you use to promote your forum?
I use everything I can that allows me to share gambling related sites. Facebook, Twitter/X, and Bluesky I post on daily. I also work with streamers that promote my forum on Twitch.
-
Do you prefer a VPS or Shared Hosting?
My forums use a shared hosting plan. Paying for a VPS would be a waste of money at this time for me.

Running forum on new server
It's very easy to download a backup, and install a site on a new server. I've done it countless times. The owner should already be downloading regular backups. It's risky not too, you can lose all your hard work.

Does your community have sentimental value?
I started my forum as a dream project. I would never sell even if I received a big offer. I sold a Facebook group in the past in the same niche as my forum, and I learned the hard way how easy it is for a community to turn on you. I had to grind for my community back, and prove my doubters wrong. Does any of the forums you own have sentimental value to you?
-
Should you continue to add content or step back at one point?
I always add content to my forum EVERYDAY. If new discussions I start aren't getting replies, I stop creating threads until we get some responses, and I try to reply to more posts.
