  1. I'd like to buy a forum combination package with 250 credits for my forum. Thanks in advance!
  2. I usually only create sites when I have an idea for one, and I think it has potential. I also prefer sites within a niche that I like, so it'll be a site that'd I often use.
  3. I have a lot of older members, and they said the font sizes were barely readable so I adjusted the font on my forum to make it a little bigger.
  4. I join any site that helps me gain exposure to my community. I often use social media apps to recruit new members, and it has worked well so far.
  5. Google Adsense isn't an option for my forum. I'm an affiliate with poker sites since my forum is poker/gambling related. I earn a little revenue. I make more when my members play more(if they used my link).
  6. Big overhaul to our forums, new theme, and upgraded to Xenforo 2.3. News post: https://poker.community/threads/welcome-to-poker-community-v2-0.1671/
  7. My community is related to online gambling/poker, and there's legislations involved when operating a poker site. Some countries are banned to avoid legal issues from sites I play, and partner with.
  8. Facebook. I never used any social media sites before Facebook unless you count MSN messenger lol

The new theme is nice, but I liked the old theme better. Everything flowed nicely on it.
  10. Demoted to a regular member, if they come back we can discuss them getting their role back. I don't have any co-owners as I wanted to avoid scenarios like this one, and own 100% of my site.
  11. My forum doesn't have a time restriction on users to edit their posts.
  12. My current forum: https://poker.community We currently have 300+ members, and 8000+ posts. I hope to see a lot of growth in year #2.

I prefer meatlovers pizza with stuffed crust.
  14. I personally won't participate on any proboards or forumotion sites. Its hard to take a forum serious if they choose to go that route, and good luck trying to get a backup of your forum/community if you ever need one to move away from those sites/hosts.
  15. SMF is free. It's been open source for years. You still have to pay for hosting/domain name, but it's free to download SMF, and customize your site with addons, theme..etc.

I'm a 90s baby where males were males, and females were females.
  17. I spend the majority of my time each day on my site. It doesn't matter what I'm doing I'm usually always lurking my site checking who's online, new posts...etc.
  18. Both. I often check my site on mobile when I'm not home, but I use my laptop whenever I need to update any code, or create bigger posts.
  19. I personally would never start a forum using a free forum host. If you cant afford to registrar a domain name, don't start a forum. There are free forum software's available if you cant pay the $200 pricetag for Xenforo or another premium/paid software. If you're looking for a free forum software I recommend SMF. I think free forum hosts are a waste of time because they own your content. If your forum gets big they own everything. I rather have full control of any site I start. What are the pros and cons of using a free forum host? Do you think it's a waste time to use a free forum host?
  20. That's a little extreme, and will likely get you banned for trying to poach members. I'd ban you if you were apart of my staff, and did that.

It's suspicious, because it's not like a few members were doing it. I was getting new members daily, and was starting to fill my new posts section with intro posts. It hasn't happened as much since I banned some IP addresses, and switched to KeyCaptcha.
  22. Good promotions, friendly/welcoming staff team, and the admins should also be dedicated to growing the community on a daily basis. The grind never stops.
  23. It's never happened to me. I did once lose my Facebook group, and I eventually got my admin privileges back. I also removed all admins afterwards, and switched my team to moderators.
  24. General discussion forums are the easiest to start up, but it's the most boring niche in my opinion. Over saturated, and nothing unique/cool about those communities.
