I know it is not. But they already made a forum feature as part of it on servers.

Well, I would be happy with a community of 5 active people. But active in terms with those who really like the nishe of the forum and not for exchange posts and stuff like that.

Yeah, probably I didn't explore it in depth as you are pointing it out. A recipe for failure.

I tried plenty of forum ideas. I had gothic forum which had best activity but slowly died out for unknown reason to me. I had for witchcraft and that never lasted due to a very small group of people finding it interesting. Had forums about mysteries but that also has its limitation, how many mysteries are there? :D Tried few general forum ideas, worst concept ever. Still have one for academical things but never put any effort into it because very few people care about science on forums :D Really no idea what is the niche to go to :D

You are right about it. Discord is replica for forum where chat is instant. That will kill all the communication on real forum. That's why i avoid using chatbox as well on forum. I don't have issue with moderation because I forbid any political communication or anything that trigger other people.

Well, hard for me to say because I've recently opened forum. I am unsure if the failures of my forums are based on non-unique nishe, lack of advertisement or just dull content.. Still, I've failed plenty of times so far :D

That's unusual for me. To just sit and wait for mircle to happen. I am trying to find a balance, not to open all threads by myself but then again I don't want to wait for users to do it for me.

Nope. If I like the content and the activity, nothing in the world would stop me unless the design is so crappy I can't navigate through forum. Only that.

Definetly Forumotion because it was extremely popular in the past, when I wanted to use forums, and I simply chose it. There were plenty of forums hosted on Forumotion (my native language) so it kind a pulled me to do the same. I loved those days because forums were popping out like crazy and plenty of people advertising it.

I edited theme on my own to be way different than the one given by default. So that's why it looks more modern, so to say. :P

That's always a hard question for those who watch lots of movies and tv series. I love terminator 2, the sorcerer's apprentice, the hunt 2012. For tv series i would go for "A discover of witches" And thanks everyone for the welcome.

If I would to have money to invest, probably. But it is hard to do so with no community. It would be a waste of money.

To be honest, I have no idea. I am not good at it and I am still learning how to do so. I just made affiliate thingy. I go from forum to forum and advertise it by putting data there. I also try with post exchange thingy but I don't find that fruitful enough other than pumping those numbers up.

Personally, I don't like discord servers and I am a member of none. All that communication goes up endlessly and you would need to scroll and scroll to find what you need.. I understand more people enjoy discord but the niche of my forum doesn't require to have a discord channel.

That sounds so odd to me. What is the point of doing it when I know in my heart that nobody is writing but me. It's like lying to yourself with the flaw you actually know you are being lied too. Just let the activity come and if there isn't, do better to generate it. ;)

I never did and I never will. Every post on the forum is valuable (except spam and trolling). Even old threads are kept unlocked because you never know who might write there.

I like the forum. It's super friendly and there are plenty of services being offered. :coffee:
