I am up for Moderator place, if possible. :)
  8. Forumotion doesn't. Technically, you don't even own the forum because they can shut it down anytime they find suitable, however, despite you "deleting" your forum, it remains permanently in their database, so you can always ask them to reactivate it.
  9. It's a good question. I don't know much about it because all my forums are on free platform such as Forumotion. They charge nothing but again, I don't have my own domain without forumotion in it and all the data is permanently in their posession. Software itself lacks plenty of things compared to xenforo, lolz. But when you don't have to invest, it is what it is xD

  15. Enjoy your time posting. :)
  16. I actually never used anything else but Forumotion hosting with different forum versions. They did offer phpbb2, phpbb3, punBB, invision.. So, the only thing I knew of Invision was from Forumotion and tbh I don't even know if it has any touch with the real one.
  17. Oh, thanks for the tips. I actually used few of these. :P

Oh, thank you. I did coding myself, and chatgpt helped me with logo. I had to cut it a bit and adjust with code to be somewhat okay.
  19. I think it is easy to say this: Mike Tyson. After rigging the fight with Paul, I realized he has 0 respect for his fans and only cares about money. He actually said he doesn't care about his legacy. Maybe he doesn't, but his fans do respect his achievements..

I stopped using fb. It's something that old people use (in my opinion). All new generations moved to IG and Tiktok for purposes of promoting their business. I know that whatsapp, IG and facebook are owned by same company (META) but fb is super old. And yes, notifications are garbage with those tag everyone from groups...
  21. That depends on who is telling me, the way is being conveyed as a suggestion (is it a provocation?) and how important that is to me and to forum. Some people would come to my forum and start telling me what I should have or not have as if they own the place. The core drive behind such suggestions is wanting to see what their ideal forum should have (the one they would like to own) so that at some point they enter as staff and feel as if they own the place.
  22. I do have that kind of general section, even though I am trying to keep it as close as possible to what the forum is about. :coffee:
  23. Personaly, I am against these topics because there is not much to tell; answers are short. My forum is about Asian culture, so what is the point of discussing what was the last thing you ate if it doesn't contain words that would optimize my SEO. I need people to discuss festivals, music, traditions (history), movies / tv series from asia. Those kind of stuff. :coffee:
  24. I absolutely agree with this. I tend to have unrealistic goals and was under too much hype and then was it didn't go as planned, I got discouraged and quit. Hopefully, I won't quit this time, but you never know. I will use some advices from this thread. :)
  25. I open for each subforum at least 2 topic to start it going. I tend to avoid general talk topics because it invites people to write low quality posts. I want people to focus more on the theme of the forum and not on the general topics.
