1. Okay, position closed.
2. Definitely not, because it is king, to put it simply. Even though people use DuckDuckGo to avoid being tracked while they're searching for something on it...

I have few bookmarks, but I tend to access my favourite sites via the address bar.
4. This is still open, and once again I stress, it is an unpaid role. However, I will be closing this on 31st March if nobody comes forward...
5. While AI can be good to improve on things such as for medical and scientific research, it cannot, and must never, replace human capability and talent. Allowing Meta to write Instagram posts for you is a big no-no, for one thing. If companies like Google are going to go down the route of doing stupid things like that, and take away what we learnt to do ourselves for all our lives, then I'm quite happy to miss out all that and just spend the rest of my life without internet. No point going on it only to see that everything's automated without human input, which more or less makes the internet of what it is today, and thirty-odd years ago.

Firefox all the way... been a user of it for almost twenty years :)
7. If one's forum is run like a dictatorship, expect the worst...
8. Might want a new avatar... yeah, I'm actually serious about it.
9. I suppose everything that is popular becomes overrated soon after...

Holy sweet Jesus... the theme is beautiful, and somehow gives that ZetaBoards kind of edge :P
11. No, but I do try and make some adjustments to benefit those with visual impairments, such as having more than one dark theme and larger text where possible.

Nobody from that poll, because they're all wankers. But my personal choice would be Tony Blair, before he took British troops to invade Iraq for no good reason...
13. That isn't free as far as I'm aware... Most people can with NameCheap, just to say.

I was born near the end of the 80s... 1989 if anybody likes to be nosy :P
15. RX Community was my biggest, until its untimely demise in 2012.

Jcink for me. I used Forumotion and even ProBoards on the past but they don't really agree with me...

Never seen it myself, but I'll keep an eye out...
18. I think it's worth mentioning that ClaudeAI shouldn't be allowed to index sites and forums, according to this > That's one of the reasons it is blocked by Jcink by default, and rightly so...
19. For all you know, it could be repealed. Even this guy thinks it'll fall flat as well...
20. Few others have overreacted as well, according to this list. They just can't be bothered doing a risk assessment which would only take them a few minutes of their time...

Actually, to be fair, I always think that all accounts without an avatar are all Cedric (as he had this as his avatar one time) 🤣 Anyway, I see some other forums make use of Gravatar so that they have a unique avatar generated for them (like the one on my forum for instance). Wonder if this place can benefit from that too?
22. They're blocked by default according to the universal robots.txt that all Jcink forums have.

Anything that isn't pineapple :P
24. I hope they make this optional but, if they're going to force it on everyone, I think it's time to jump ship to DuckDuckGo...
25. Yes, it is a voluntary position... and, I'm sorry to say this, but I'd rather keep my finances safe for personal reasons. Hope anyone here understands and won't put them off for ever wanting any staff position I ever offer here.
