Thank you! As much as I adore the clean look of the Light theme, it does tend to hurt after a bit. That's one of the issues with having blue eyes, I guess, light sensitivity.

Just something to keep in mind. I suffer from a very slight color blindness, and my system is configured to use the Dark Theme by default. Normally this isn't an issue, but just now I noticed the red font on a post was VERY hard for me to read. See the attached screen clipping. I'd suggest either brightening up the red font a bit or maybe tweaking the background color a bit for those very few of us that have this rare color blindness issue. I've resolved the issue temporarily by switching to the Light theme mode, but I'm afraid that when I get a migraine attack, I'll be "out of the office".
3. I've thought about mentioning a minimum "good quality" word count for a post, but it's never going to be a requirement. More like a guideline. Something for people to reach for, and maybe a mechanic put in place that rewards good behavior like that. In the past, I've had people on my forum who would make a post shaming members for sharing low quality posts, and I thought about ways to reduce this type of shaming behavior. Something passive in the background is much more preferred than out right ridiculing somebody for contributing a lazy post. The first time may generate a chuckle, but it gets old really quick, and can become a headache for administrators / moderators if they have to babysit members posting behaviors. It's just not a needed headache.
4. As I was reading this post, my mind flashed through a Tik Tok video I saw last year? Maybe it was 2023. Anyway, this young kid, not more than probably 20, appeared to be going to work, texting on his phone, gets stopped by an armed police drone, ends up arrested. He arrives at the detention facility, seems like there is no human attendants. He's stripped, changed, and placed into an isolated holding cell, alone. There's a large video touch screen. He tries to call a lawyer to no avail. Tries to call the Police Chief of Los Angeles, I think? After an hour and a half of waiting on hold, the call is disconnected. He's totally broke now. Has no money for anything. This horrifying video brought up some trauma I had previously repressed, but is also frightening to think that AI may soon be this embedded into our society. It starts with the basic communication platforms, and then slowly gets rolled out to do more and more tasks. Will people become more lazy, will they rise up and demand this AI movement be controlled? Or are we already too late to stop it, like the cat's out of the bag? As much fun as I thought about adding an AI bot to do some role playing with, I'm not going to be adding that feature anytime soon.

6. I'm up for a gamble! Ultra newbie here! I think my paint is still drying...
7. Personally, I think one paragraph is adequate for a good lengthy reply post. However, if you're starting a new topic, I'd say shoot for at least three good paragraphs, an introduction, some supporting meat, and a conclusion (question). Each paragraphs should probably average about 45 words long. (But who's counting, right?) If all you're doing is replying with a single sentence, you're really doing a disservice to the community as a whole, because sure, you can simply state your opinion on the topic, but a single sentence has nothing to support your take on something. More words gives people something to latch on to. As a side note, this is especially true with Play by Post role playing. I see on various forums where players and game masters alike get frustrated by the one liners. There's not much that can responded with from a single sentence or worse, single word reply or the dreaded silence reply "...". One thing I now try to do when role playing is attach an Action Beat to any dialog response that my character is doing. This allows for other players to latch onto my post and do something. This same philosophy holds true with regular forum posting as well, in my opinion. People need something to grab on to.
8. Discord, much like the older technology of Shout Boxes, I've found take away from people posting content on the forum. I've got a Discord, but it's dead. I have one friend who prefers to use Discord, and nothing else. We chat there occasionally. (He used to be a member of my old forum, like 15 years ago). I've only got like three channels on the Discord, because I'd rather be on the forum. I'm old school, and I'm looking for people who are just as old-school as I am. Now, I do have a Shout Box on my site, but it's quite limited. I've got it restricted to remember only the previous 15 shouts. Each shout can only be a max of 256 characters long. It's meant for quick check-ins, like "good morning" or "I'm alive", perhaps even "Coffee is hot this morning." And the only reason I installed a Shout Box is because some people prefer having a quick messaging system that is live like that for just this, checking-in.

I was born in the 1970s. Yeah, yeah, I'm ancient! But all I remember from the 70s is sitting on a Sit 'n' Spin on a brown shag carpet surrounded by dark wood paneled walls, listening to The Beegies play from the console stereo my mom had. I remember much more of the 80s. Awesome music, much more freedom than today, and everybody seemed to be totally against drugs (Anybody remember DARE?) Unfortunately, society wasn't nearly as open-minded and tolerant of different people and expressions.... not that it has improved very much in the past 40 years. God, I'm oldER.
11. Warning: Spontaneously Live Action Role Plays.
12. I watched an episode of Magical Girl Pretty Sammy, and two episodes of Magical Project S. Two anime that I've had sitting on my hard drive for over two years, collecting dust.
13. Having attempted three small businesses in the past, this is the second most popular choice. (The first one being bootstrap it), Unless of course, you're starting up a Public Corporation and have a phenomenal idea with people excitedly backing your ideas with piles of cash... but I digress. I'm looking to try for a fourth time, just as soon as I figure out what it is exactly that I want to do, AND is something other people want/need and are willing to pay for it.
14. I'm still using FireFox, however, I'll also use Chrome (for testing and for my hosting website, since they're site is optimized for Chrome). I'm also trying out this Brave browser I recently read about.

I'll bookmark sites when I remember to (or accidentally hit the Ctrl-B hotkey while trying to paste something!!) Which reminds me, I need to go through and clean up my bookmarks. Other than that, I have like a million tabs open across three different web browsers! LOL
16. I think I've lost respect for just about all of them Celebrities. They're living life grand while the rest of us our struggling, and many of them seem so disconnected with what's happening outside of their Hollywood bubble. This became very apparent to me during the most recent election cycle. I will say that I still respect Harrison Ford among a very select few others.
17. I'm interested in learning about how to work with Crypto, but a lot of it seems confusing, and there's a lot of potential scams (from my tiptoe into the realm last year) I know that I would prefer to configure something sooner rather than later, because I feel that the US dollar is quickly loosing its purchasing power. Currently, I have the ability to accept CashApp and PayPal, but I don't really like either of those two methods because Mega-Corps and Billionaires get to enrich their lives while I'm struggling to feed myself and pay for the light bill.
18. Thank you. Work has been killing me lately.

20. Um, hi! If you can't already tell (by my profile, avatar, signature, and grand entrance), I'm an avid
role playing freak. I love creative writing, specializing within the fictitious world of anime, manga, and my rotten imagination. I figured I'd join up, because I'm a sucker for joining communities, especially in 2025, during our epidemic of loneliness. And because I'm trying to kick a dead horse (aka my forum) back on to life support, I see value here. I've browsed around and see some topics that I'm itching to reply to! So I'll attempt to be a good girl and post responsibly. Anyway. Um... I like anime! Oh, and ask me anything. (Edited for clarification)
