1. Awesome recovery! <3

If anime counts as cartoons, then yes. Darn near everyday! But I also like western cartoons, like Bugs Bunny and such (note, mostly older cartoons). Even anime, I like stuff created from 1990 - 2010.
3. I'm all for partnering up with other forums. In fact, I regularly post when I can think of content to discuss. However, there are many forums that have rules against offsite promotions. I understand that some forums are better for certain topics than other topics. Like although my forum specializes in anime role playing, most of my content is geared around older stuff from the 90's and early 2000's. Many anime forums I've been to, while they do have older stuff, much of the time, these topics are archived, and locked, or are discouraged from being discussed. I just know there has to be at least one other person on the planet who likes Ranma 1/2 or All Purpose All Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku! Right?
4. I recently started a Wiki in addition to my forum, and I've had a Discord Server for a couple of years.
5. I'd also like to point out that don't hold your breath waiting for any kind of Universal Basic Income either. The elite's plan for us workers involves a lot of dirt (if you know what I mean). AI is one reason of many why I recently just stopped job hunting. Yeah, my job sucks, but I'm competent at it, and it does sort of pay most of my bills. But as I approach 50 this year, I know I'm past my prime, I'm an old hand, or an old maid, not sure which yet... But I just try to enjoy my life on a day by day basis anymore. I'm learning how to forage too. I think basic survival skills are going to be the most important skills to possess shortly.
6. I don't mind necroposts. If somebody has something to add to a conversation, then so be it! But that's the the about a forum about ancient anime, I think the necro part is encouraged!
7. I primarily use a spreadsheet and I track all my income and expenditures down the penny. I've also been known at times to use a database and budgeting software to help me find patterns and flag unnecessary spending. Living so close to zero, budgeting like this is a necessity, much like breathing. And while I have managed to build a tiny buffer in food stores, a critical error on my calculations could cost significantly.

I had imaginary friends as a child. I don't remember their names though. But, because one of my hobbies is creative writing, I do find comfort being friendly with the characters I throw into chaos!
9. My first forum, I didn't read every post. There were some role playing games that I just wasn't interested in reading. However, reviving all those ancient posts, as an Administrator, I should have at least kept an eye on those games, because some of the things occurring in the games were...not necessarily against the site TOS, but, shall we say frowned upon. On my latest forum, I do read every post... of course, that's super easy right now, because I'm the only person on my forum posting. 😅
10. I created a prototype webring TinyPortal block code to my site. I still have to figure out how to handle previous/next links, so for right now, it just lists all the site in the directory underneath the featured webpage. I have to do it manually this way, because I don't think there's any central host managing webrings anymore. What do you think?
11. Anything that is important for all members to have at their fingertips, or constantly talked about topics (for example, I've seen on other forums posts about "What if .... ?" and it's not necessary to create yet another topic regarding the subject matter, should get a Sticky.
12. A couple years ago when I bought my Alienware R13, I opted for the 64GB (out of 128GB) RAM, specifically so I would have some room to grow. I maxed out the CPU with an i9. But, since I also do 3D modeling and game design with Unreal Engine 5, I do actually tax my PC. I'm hoping that this PC will last a few more years before I have to upgrade it -- Hopefully, I'll have a much better paying job so I can afford to not use credit!
13. I think you may already have it: Create, Connect, Collaborate! This nicely summarizes your forum's mission. People create, or are in creative industries. They connect (via your website), and collaborate -- share their ideas about industry creativity.
14. I had a thought this morning. Back in the day, you know, the ancient times during the Old Wild West of the Internet, many forums utilized the Webring to advertise itself. What are your thoughts on bringing back the practice of a forums within a niche space using a webring? Do you think that forum admins would be against the idea, fearing that it would drag away members to other sites? But on the flip side, several of the comments I've seen, especially on Reddit lately, people said they found multiple forums because of webrings. So maybe we should bring this tech back?

Although I hardly know you yet, I'm relieved that you are doing better now! Life is much too short.
16. I think it comes down to laziness. Current culture seems to be instant gratification, no work for anything. It's a look at me and my life and all the stuff happening in my life, who cares about your life and junk, just look at me! Type of thing, rather than with a forum, I think there's more generosity involved.
17. New Zealand is a beautiful country, that I think often gets overlooked. Although, I've never been there, someday, ... yeah, I'll just keep my head in the clouds...
18. Yeah, but $49 a month is a bit steep. And honestly, unless I have an established community, I don't need all those features. Which leads to if you already have an established community, changing software could alienate members, frustrating some, and losing following. The question becomes, would it be worth it to migrate?
19. I just saw a post on Reddit this morning about how some people are missing the old forums. Actually, two posts in three days now. Maybe I fell down a hole or something, but there does seem to be some hope here. Of course, I took the opportunity to promote smaller forums!
20. I prefer to pay yearly. That's one less bill I have to worry about each month. In fact, my annual hosting bill is coming up in May! Looks like it's time to dig out the credit card...
21. I think that people are redoubling their efforts against platform algorithm choke-holds. I know, at least for myself, all I see everywhere on the major social media sites is nothing but political discussion, bashing, and flat out propaganda. I'm tired of it. In fact, within the last month, I've retreated back to full time foruming (new word?, probably not.) for a breath of fresh air. It's actually nice being among the quiet. I almost feel as if I'm visiting a library! Surrounded by tons of books, subtle conversation, and loads of opportunity!
22. I bought my last smartphone in 2020, it's still is going strong. I'll replace it when it breaks and assuming I have the money to buy a new one. knocks on wood.
23. Heck, I can't even get people to join my forum for totally free and no ads. I'm not wasting my time trying to monetize it.
24. [Stable] People commit criminal activity because a need of theirs isn't being satisfied. (Desperate times call for desperate measures). [Unstable] people commit criminal activity because they've got true mental illnesses (like Psychosis and Multiple Personality Disorder, among others) The effect of any form of media, regardless if it's video games, television, movies, table top role playing games, and board games doesn't cause people to misbehave.
