1. I wasn't online much when Webrings were popular. I say let's bring them back! Having another way to promote our forums is fine by me! Plus think of all the nostalgia both the webrings and forums will bring to those who were on the internet when they were popular.
2. Damn that's a nice build! Even if it's a bit overkill for what you're doing, but hey there's nothing wrong with that! Better to have a powerhouse than something that's obsolete.
3. I would love to visit Japan someday! Also New Zealand too.
4. I'm glad you're still here with us! I like to believe that things happen for a reason, that paramedic trainee was there because he needed to be there to save your life. Take it easy!
5. I've been seeing that a lot lately. Still it baffles me again why so many people say they miss them yet they've never disappeared and these people can join so many if they take the time to look for them. :V

Hey everyone I hope you're all enjoying this Wednesday!
7. Ravenfreak posted a post in a topic in Community Showcase
I really like the theme and banner! I'll have to check out your forum when I get the chance for sure!
8. Exactly this! Many of us already have pages on Facebook and accounts on Twitter and Bluesky. Having a subreddit dedicated to your forum is no different. Plus I know some of the forum subreddits are dead and you can't even promote your links on them anymore which is a shame.
9. I've never been banned or suspended from any social media platform. I've had a post get flagged by the community standards but it was one I share and didn't make myself so it got removed. I did get some of my comments flagged in a group because the admin censored the word "dick" when I was just trying to mention that the Robin from Teen Titans was Dick Grayson. :V I had to go back and edit my comment to say "Richard Grayson" lol.
10. Dang this software has it all! I'll have to try it out sometime and see how I feel about it.
11. I'm not sure how I feel about the reboot. I'm not a fan of JK Rowling at all anymore, but I can separate the art from the artist. However I loved the films and I'm afraid a reboot might ruin what I liked about them.
12. Heroes, I'm almost done with season 1 and man lots of events are going on! It's getting better and better as the series goes on.
13. I prefer to pay yearly myself, which is what I'm doing with Hostinger. As for the other hosts I use, I pay monthly. It's easier to deal with a yearly subscription IMO.
14. Recently I subtly dropped a link to one of the articles I've written on Thee Zone about my favorite cartoon and it's ending. Someone brought up a thread on the subreddit and I actually did get a few upvotes so people most likely visited my site. I know the OP mentioned that they would take a look at it whenever they got the chance, so I've used Reddit to help get some traffic to that site. I've used Reddit in the past for Gex Forums as well and it helped. Though I don't recommend spamming links of course, I've taken the advice I've read from one of the threads Cpvr posted but I can't remember which one it was lol. Also post exchanges have been helping too.
15. Sadly the internet has changed for the worst IMO. I believe in the Dead Internet Theory, the reason why social media is so big is because they're more profitable than forums. Of course forums still have a purpose in our world, otherwise we wouldn't be here posting on one or have forums of our own! Forums are like cool underground caverns. You find them out in the wild, and you get curious so you explore and might even find one or a few that are interesting so you join them! Or in the case of a underground cavern, you explore it lol.
16. Yep I allow members to add GIF images on Thee Zone. I've had a few members use them too in the past, it really does make a conversation more interesting and engaging!
17. Well this is going to be somewhat annoying for those with multiple domains, I'm someone who owns a few different ones that I'm not even using currently. It's good from a security standpoint however, so I can see why they've decided to shorten certificate lifespans.
18. I don't upgrade my phone that often. I just got a new phone in August, the phone I had before that I got in 2021 so I had it for 3 years. I'll keep my Moto G 5G 2024 for a bit longer before I decide to get a new phone.
19. I've used Youtube videos in the past to promote my forums but I didn't get much traffic from them. Now that I am close to 400 subscribers on my main channel maybe it's time to look into promoting my current sites on my channel now that I have way more subscribers than I did when I tried in the past.
20. Absolutely not! By this logic, you could blame violent shows and movies too but again none of this stuff actually makes kids go out and become mass shooters. There's so many mental issues that cause these things to happen and the media already blames video games when they're not the cause at all. I've been playing video games since I was 4, RPGs, platformers, and shooters are my favorite games to play. None of them ever made me want to go out and hurt other people.
21. Man Zuckerberg just wants to own every single social media platform he can get his greedy reptilian claws on! Good to see that the FTC is looking into Meta, makes me wonder if they will eventually be forced to sell Instagram and WhatsApp.
22. I'm surprised Figma was able to get a copyright for the term. It's just another saying that tech companies used, and honestly it's dumb that they own a copyright for the term and are trying to sue another company using it.
23. IMO it's not really worth making money from a forum. You're better off trying to earn money from a blog or even better a vlog. Running websites is just a fun hobby I like to do, so I never tried earning money from my sites and honestly I'm okay with them just being there for fun.
24. Good riddance I hope it stays offline. It's almost as bad as Kiwi Farms, it's just not quite there yet. (8 Chan was terrible and I'm glad that's long gone.) I will say that there's one good thing that did come from 4chan and that was the time they came together to find a guy who was abusing cats for his Youtube channel and got him arrested.
25. Has anyone here used Lemmy yet? It's the Fediverse version of Reddit. It's been growing as of late since many people are getting fed up with Reddit's moderation. I think it's a great alternative, and it's another place where forum owners can promote their forums on too! If you do wish to join, I recommend joining via www.discuss.online. After filling out their questionnaire I was approved quickly! Some instances aren't as well maintained and you might be left in limbo, waiting for your account to be approved.
