1. Nope in 3 and a half hours it'll be 12 am not 12 pm. :P You've got "12 PM to 1 AM GMT" listed in the post.
2. This is why contests are fun! Well posting contests can get old, but if you come up with unique ones it can help bring more activity to your community and your members will have fun along the way! I know of one forum that did a picture contest for the Holidays, this was fun to engage in. I give out badges to people who take the time to post on my forum and each time they reach a specific milestone they earn another badge.
3. So this would be 6 AM to 7 PM CST if you're wondering and live in the same time zone as me lol. This is a great opportunity and you've got plenty of time to request tomorrow so don't miss out! Happy New Year everyone!
4. It depends on why they're complaining. If they're complaining about staff decisions after they got in trouble for breaking a rule, then I will give them a warning and possibly suspend them. If it's for something else I would listen to them to see what's going on, and perhaps then I could help them with whatever is bothering them.
5. Happy New Year to everyone here on Administrata! May your 2025 be better than your 2024! It's still 2024 here, and I won't be able to bring in the new year tonight since I have to work but it's all good since I'm going to Atlanta this weekend. Stay safe if you're going to celebrate!
6. I am quite happy with the growth of Thee Zone! We're getting closer to my main milestone of reaching 100 members. Plus I'm happy that I do have a few active members posting almost daily. I look forward to bringing more content to Thee Zone in 2025 and moving hosts so I can upgrade the forum software to the latest version.
7. Alright I've got my 15 threads done!
8. I want to finally reach 100 members on Thee Zone. I also need to move Thee Zone from IONOS to my Hostinger account, and upgrade Woltlab Suite to the latest version. I also want to reopen Free To be Us on vBulletin, I still need to check the status on my support ticket. I'm also hoping I can get some more activity on Gex Forums, but seeing how the trilogy is supposed to be out sometime next year, I'm sure that will help bring in activity.
9. I think some bot posts are fine, until a human staff member can reply to the post. Though I personally wouldn't use AI, I prefer human responses and I don't even rely on AI to help me post. :V It can help on some sites, but I don't think every forum should rely on the use of AI.
10. I have 2 staff among 75 members on Thee Zone. On Gex forums I have 2 staff among 40 members. I never have more staff than members on my forums, I think there was one time I joined a forum and there were more moderators than members and I remember getting a promotion immediately after joining the forum lol. I can't even recall the name of the forum.
11. I definitely wouldn't use black hat seo. Like fdk said, I might have done it if was a young teenager but these days nope. Good luck getting your site indexed by Google if you do black hat seo!
12. General chat and general gaming forums tend to be oversaturated in the forum world. It's funny that I say that though, I own a general discussion forum. Promotional forums used to be oversaturated, but I haven't seen as many of these forums popping up lately.
13. As long as I get constructive criticism and not outright a "your forum sucks it looks ugly" then I welcome constructive criticism. It can help you improve as an admin in general. There could be something you overlooked and having a second pair of eyes to help you out and make your community better is always a plus!
14. You're absolutely right! Just look at what social media platforms have been doing lately, for example Tumblr rolled out their community feature. Then if we look back a few years ago Discord rolled out their version of forums. It's obvious that forums still work, they still have a purpose but you need to find that purpose for your community if you want it to succeed.
15. I've unfortunately have thrown in the towel in the past because I was hoping my forums would grow faster and when they didn't and I barely got any new activity, I would give up on it and then start a new one. I'm definitely trying my best to just focus on what I've got now, and I think I've been doing better at least.

I find it annoying too, there's a good number of pages that I follow that have started tagging everyone in their posts. I've seen it in groups too, and I'm like "bro I don't care I just follow you for fun and don't need to know what you're up to all the time." I only use Facebook to keep in touch with my family since they won't move to any other platform.
17. I like to offer both a dark and light theme, not everyone likes a dark theme or vice versa. It's even cooler when you've got a theme that easily switches between dark and light modes with multiple options. Though that could get a bit overwhelming for some people.
18. I feel that lots of people enjoy talking about their lives and like to share what's going on. So I suggest adding a section for general life chat and make thought provoking threads. Maybe go beyond a simple "what did you eat last" thread and maybe make a thread like "Is there a dish you would like to try to try someday that you never had?" Go that extra mile, because once you do you will get more engagement. Always try to think outside of the box, and maybe check other forums to get some ideas if you're stumped.

Welcome to Administrata MamaFrankie! Great seeing you here, I hope you enjoy your stay with us!
20. In this day and age, I don't think smaller forums should compete with bigger platforms. First off, most people prefer to use these platforms and will not budge and use forums. Back when Reddit decided to charge for their API and many subs went black to show support to the third party app creators, I made the comment "well everyone could have just used forums when Reddit was down" when r/casualconversation came back online and I had people tell me they didn't want to join multiple different forums when they could just get all the information they wanted by having one Reddit account and easily joining new subs with the press of a button. I did mention Proboards which has a global account, but you still need to individually join different forums. Case in point, it's better to focus on flourishing your small community rather than trying to compete with bigger ones.
21. I've owned a few blogs throughout the years but I never really kept up with them. I also own a Facebook group too. It's a fan group for one of my favorite Youtubers, but I've noticed the activity has died down quite a bit. I never joined the Discord server that someone in my group made, so maybe the activity is over there I'm not sure.

Happy Gilmore is either my second or third favorite Adam Sandler movie so I hope this will be good. The teaser trailer does seem promising, and man Virginia doesn't look like she's aged a bit at all!
23. Merry Christmas everyone! I'm still sick, but feeling much better than I did the other day. I hope you're all having (or had) a great Holiday!

I miss the days I would live action roleplay Teen Titans when I was a teenager. I used to larp with my childhood crush and she would be Raven and I would be my own character. xD We grew a bit close when we roleplayed, but we never dated. Also I miss the evenings my wife and I would talk on Yahoo messenger when we first started dating. Of course now I can talk to her whenever I want in person but it was special.
25. The grey lines would definitely help break up the posts a bit. This reminds me of Reddit, which I've mentioned over on Admin-Junkies already. Either way, best of luck with this it's a unique layout that hasn't been done on Xenforo!
