I have tagged two spots. I have updated the template, and will complete both parts ASAP.

Community Chat Thread
I was going to say, you folk down south usually don't get much snow. My wife's aunt lives in Dallas, makes me wonder if her cousin who's in high school will be out of school because of the storm. Thankfully when I worked at Walmart, I never had this happen. About the closest thing that happened was a few lights in the dairy cooler not working properly, so half of the cooler was dark. It was a large cooler at least, but my co worker freaked me out since the part that wasn't lit up was where our claims were stored and she had to dump some yogurt she found out of the cooler and she walked up from that part of the cooler as I was stocking milk lol.

Have you taken any breaks from being an admin?
I took breaks due to burnout. There was a time I went years without having a forum. This was in the mid 2010's. I would get discouraged that my forums weren't really growing so instead of looking at ways to promote them and get more activity, I just gave up on them.

What tasks do you reserve for yourself?
I like to create new subforums, on Gex Forums my co admin takes care of the theme stuff since he's more familiar with that. On Thee Zone I delete and lock threads since I don't have moderators. I do have a co admin, though she's not too active and she did help bring some new ideas to the forum.

Administrating while drunk (definitely not recommended)
I hardly ever drink and when I do I don't really get online much at all. I can imagine some people make a fool of themselves when they're drinking, and I bet someone out there broke something on their website while drunk before too. :P

Community Chat Thread
Yikes that reminds me of the ice storm we got in 2007. We were without power for a few days and I remember being bundled up underneath my blanket, my parents did the same thing. We have power thankfully. When we were staying in German Town, the lights were flickering in our hotel room because they were getting bad thunderstorms from the snow and ice storm we got in Missouri and Illinois. It was in the 60s there on Sunday. Did your power ever come back on?

Community Chat Thread
Good evening everyone! I'm back from my trip! I was supposed to be back from Atlanta yesterday, but we got a bad snowstorm here in Missouri so my wife and I stayed the night in German Town Tennessee, which is just outside of Memphis. We got back home about two hours ago, but the roads were rough. I'm glad I already had the day off of work, my work didn't shut down even though there were warnings about being out on the roads. I went to Atlanta to see the Sonic Symphony btw.

What are your thoughts on Australia banning kids under 16 from social media?
I don't see how this can truly be enforced. There's probably going to be parents that allow their kids to join social media platforms whenever they're younger than 16 and just tick the box that they are 16 or older. I guess that's all the social media sites need to do, have something pop up if the person is visiting their site and trying to make an account under an Australia IP address.

Your Most Recent Purchase
Bought some snacks at the gas station we stopped by before heading home today. Also filled up the tank too.

Forum Promotion
I joined when it was still on phpBB in 2012. Such a great community and I enjoy being the package team assistant leader. :D

Shared, VPS or Dedicated?
I only use shared hosting myself, I have no clue how to manage a VPS and I don't have the funds to pay for a managed one. VPS is definitely better but I don't have the time to learn how to manage it lol.

What's the biggest forum you built from the ground up?
Mighty No. 9 Universe was the largest forum I've had. Back when the game first was announced on Kickstarter and it reached it's goal fast, I decided to jump on that opportunity of making a community before anyone else did. It grew pretty fast once I promoted it on Twitter.

Personal goals for 2025
I usually don't like to make New years resolutions because I never follow through on them. This year I'm going to focus on making changes to be happier. I'm doing fine, but there's a few things I want to work on to make myself even happier than I am now. I've also been trying to drink more water too, because I don't drink enough. The past few days I've been drinking more and more water.

What is the minimum investment need to start a forum?
It depends on your budget. You can start a forum on free hosting and free software, and then move to paid hosting in the future and possibly a paid forum script. I've seen successful forums on free hosts before, specifically Proboards of all places. Jcink does allow you to make backups of your database as mentioned in this thread, I think Createmybb allows you to request a database backup. No other free forum host does this btw.

I've finished my part. :)

Some old theme prints
Oh man those themes bring back memories. The Zetaboard days, when I first got into forums. This was the late 00's for me though, I wasn't around for the earlier days of forums sadly.

I'll tag the last spot! I will get it done by tomorrow. :)

What DOES NOT belong on a pizza?
That's an odd pizza topping. I love potatoes but that doesn't sound good on pizza. I think mushrooms, olives, and anchovies do not belong on pizza.

Should forum owners be subject matter experts?
Yes I think the forum owner should have knowledge of the niche they're choosing for their community. I wouldn't make a math forum since I suck at math, or for another example I wouldn't make a forum about sports because I'm not too interested in them. Even if it's just a little knowledge, as long as you're able to contribute to your community it will flourish.

This ain't an airport, no need to announce your departure
I don't really see this often on forums anymore, but I would just tell them that I wish them the best of luck and move on. I remember joining forums in the past and they had a rule that stated not to make these types of threads. People still made them at times lol.

That makes more sense having it open for just an hour instead of 13 hours. xD
