Hey Creaky glad that you've joined us! Welcome to Administrata, I hope you enjoy your stay here with us!
2. I do my own SEO. I typically install plugins on my forums using SMF, but I use meta tags for my other forums. I keep an eye on things via google search console and I even get emails sent to me when my rank goes up on my websites!
3. I know I mentioned above that I'm using shared hosting and that buying a VPS would be expensive. However, while reading up on Discourse's installation page they had a link to Digital Ocean and noticed that a droplet really isn't too expensive. So I signed up for Digital Ocean, I am still debating on if I'm really going to try a VPS though so I have yet to add my credit card info. I will come back to this thread if this changes.
4. I've completed my 20 posts on IIJM. :D Thanks again for the post exchange! Still looking for some more exchanges.
5. It's funny that everyone here prefers the first one, I prefer the second design as I said over on Admin Junkies.
6. I played Tomb Raider again, but before that I went to the mall and got three new games! Well they're all used but they're new to me. I got Morrowind for the Xbox, Monster Hunter Freedom 2 on the PSP, and Cris Tales on the PS5. I wanted to add some more RPG games to my collection.
7. This is what makes a great community, a place where everyone feels like they belong. Always reach out to your community whenever you feel the need to change something. Keep everyone in the loop.

Good evening everyone! It's finally my weekend now. I had a little bit of a rough day at work, but I made it through.
9. I played the Tomb Raider 1 remaster, I'm on the level Tomb of Tihocan, I'm about to finish up the level and then I'll be on to the Egypt levels! I'm playing on New game plus so it's more difficult than the normal game.
10. I've never really kept an eye out on the competition much. It's good to keep an eye out in a healthy way, a little friendly competition just helps shape your community and it's cool seeing what your competitor is doing. It's definitely less stressful these days than it was when forums were more popular IMO.
11. Thankfully I've never been hacked, on my forums or in real life. I can imagine it's difficult to deal with hackers on a website, especially if they continue to get through every time you try and move hosts or find solutions to block them from accessing your webserver.
12. Mine was hiring someone I didn't know and she deleted the themes on my forum and installed themes that didn't fit the niche without consulting me first. Now I know not to hire random people to be staff on my websites.
13. I spend about 10-15 minutes on my websites on weekdays. On weekends I log in a bit longer since I have more time. It may not seem like a lot, but it's better than not logging in at all IMO.

Pepperoni is the only topping worth getting on a pizza IMO. If it doesn't have pepperoni, it's not worth eating! I do like getting bacon, sausage, hamburger and chicken occasionally with pepperoni but I usually get double pepperoni, extra cheese and light sauce.
15. I always tend to have issues with emails not being sent. I think I'm not properly setting up my emails. :S It's important to have your email system working, that way if someone is trying to reset their password they don't have to rely on an admin to reset it for them.
16. Sorry I forgot to reply to your post Nomad !Sure I can do 20 posts on Is It Just Me! I'll get started right now if you're still up for this!
17. This looks great from the screenshots at least. It also seems that this one is actively being developed too since the last commit was made three days ago! Also cool to see another software branching out and using a different programming language instead of php. I will be keeping an eye out on this platform!
18. I have a UBB.Threads license as well as a Woltlab Suite license. I have an expired Xenforo license too that I used for VG Challenges but I merged that with a few of my other forums in 2023 to create Thee Zone.
19. This reminds me a bit of FluxBB, which that software is no longer being developed. Their support forum is quite dead too, but this one looks better than Cerca at least. Looks like one of the admins must live near me since I see a subforum for St. Louis topics which is interesting.
20. Sonic Retro is one of my favorite forums. It's my favorite Sonic forum for sure! I've been a member since 2008 but got a promotion to Tech member in 2012 since I'm a nerd who likes modding the Master System games. I recently discovered the Fediverse's version of Reddit called Lemmy. I joined this instance and since it's quite active the admins are good about approving your account as soon as possible once you fill out the questionnaire. There's not a specific one I browse, I just view all the active posts and reply to any that catches my eye. Of course I can't forget about Forum Promotion!
21. I've noticed I do reply differently to people I know in real life online. I'll usually crack an inside joke or bring up old memories. But pretty much everyone I know in real life prefers to use social media over forums sadly, so they never join my forums. Plus I haven't been on Facebook in almost two months so I haven't even interacted with family in a long time.
22. I'll tag the fourth spot.
23. It's always nice learning about a forum script I didn't know existed. Seems too minimal for my tastes though, it's even more bare looking than Reddit IMO. But hey if it gets the job done for the community powered by it, then that's all that matters I suppose.

You've got a great forum JennyorAlice! Keep up the good work!
