Now, I do not know 100% if this is true, but I have seen it from multiple sources. It's been reported that the guy had 5 cell phones and a United Nations Debit card on his person when they detained him. Very interesting if true. And, of course they have released him due to "No probable cause to detain him". Well, since the eye witnesses that detained him seen him in the act of trying to start a fire, since that is why they detained him as far as I understand, I could be wrong about though. Insanity.

I beta tested CoPilot. Was not impressed then, am not impressed now.

I might fork a component, but never an application. I would build my own. Period. No fork.

Not to mention the amount of technical debt you would inherit.

It will serve to "dogfood" the components I am building as well as provide support.

In all the years of being around and working on forums. I've had one forum and it lived for like 6 months. The next one I start will be running custom software and may, at some point become installable software but that is at least a year out. Its been started, but I have found something I am more interested in building for the moment.

Nobody in their right mind would fork WP as a start to a new application. I just can't see it as a viable path. [mention=79]Arantor[/mention] you are 100% correct in that its ecosystem is the only reason it's still a viable solution. Eventually someone will break through though. I truly think the application that empowers those that will provide that ecosystem with the best possible plugin workflow will most likely be the one that will achieve it with all other things roughly being equal.
