1. Welcome to the forum, charming primrose! Your username doesn't ring a bell, but I've probably seen you somewhere.

(Mental) health is something a lot of people take for granted, so it's always nice to see forums based on those who do care about it. :)
3. I see it appears much easier to read on dark mode than light mode.

I know that feeling, I worked 8 hours overnight last night. I never have much special planned, I go through life routinely.

Nice, we're all one year apart.
6. Does the text scale with resolution? If so, that might be why it's so tiny for me. My screen resolution is only 1366x768.
7. Considering I'm a one-man show where my primary interest is forums, I'd say my forum staff (me) is very active. I've considered hiring more staff, but I think I can manage the forum on my own considering I have the knowledge to touch base with everything regarding the forum. If it weren't for my online friend, I would probably need to hire some graphic designers to help create skins, but she's always been reliable in helping provide graphics for the skins I code.
8. Thankfully, when you run a resource board like I do you gain more of an audience the more you publish resources. When I started advertising I think I gained a small audience that needed coding support, requests, or resources. But when you keep building on the foundation you already have you continue to cater to the needs of others and attract an overall audience that can find benefits using such a board. I gain 30+ members a month on average, I think last month was the most members I've gained in a single month, which was 50+ member registrations.
9. That makes it more desirable, but I've always loved the Reddit layout. I haven't used the website that often, but the app on my iPhone and Google Chromebook.

How's everyone doing today? Are you doing anything exciting?

Hey Kristina, welcome aboard! I'm 34 myself, so we're close to the same age.
12. I don't know what it is about phpBB, but I've never been fond of sites that use the software. Maybe it's the layout, the theme, or the lack of some features, but I've never been a fan of it.
13. Amazing job to everyone involved, the logos look very nice! I still think the subtext is tiny, but I can live with it. :)
14. Neither, as Reddit is the only social media platform remotely interesting to me. I've heard so many bad things about X/Twitter that I don't even want to step foot on that platform, as for Bluesky, it doesn't look like how I'd like to see a social media site organized.
15. Good thing there are such things as CAPTCHA and the StopForumSpam API.

Black olives and mushrooms are my primary go-to toppings for pizza!
17. I've had two Yu-Gi-Oh forums, one of which was a flop, and about three coding/resource forums. I may have had more forums back in the day of InvisionFree/ZetaBoards, but I don't recall them. InvisionFree/ZetaBoards, ProBoards, and Jcink are the software all the communities were on. I've never used self-hosted forum software. Out of those five, two resource forums were the primary success.

Hey everyone! Yesterday I went out of town with my family because my mother had to get her hand checked on that she had surgery on. The drive over there and back was long and tedious, a lot of traffic there was. We ate at an Italian restaurant and I had pizza while everyone else had pasta. I hope everyone is having a joyful day!
19. Most of which were usually spambots.

Welcome aboard, Shawn! You always have very insightful posts for people to read concerning running a community!

Welcome to the community, you'll find lots of goodies here for webmasters of all types! :)
22. I created a referral code that people can use to refer people to the board, but I think the code is partially broken in that it doesn't send me a PM after the new member registers. I should probably look into that. I offer 250 credits for users who refer people to the board, but no one has ever said anything about gaining their credits and I've had the feature available for years. I've seen the referral profile field filled out a few times on user's profiles.

24. These are some great tips! #4 is the one I struggle with the most, where I'm too afraid of failure in many aspects of life, even though I know it helps build character.

I usually get black olives and mushrooms, but most toppings on pizza taste great!
