Quality introduction, nice site, and a fondness for coding! You, my sir, have an A+ introduction! Welcome!
2. Cool forum, but for some reason, it runs a little slow from time to time.
3. Being concerned about performance, however, how large is the JavaScript file you add to your site for Analytics, and does it ever cause lagging?

Hey Bob, welcome to the forum, always nice to see fellow forum and programming enthusiasts on board!

Never heard of "cloud seeding" in my life, but can this "cloud seeding" actually produce hurricanes? I don't see why the USA would do this "cloud seeding" technique when they have to send forces in and spend government money to aid those affected by the weather.
7. I don't use Analytics, but I considered using it. Due to the amount of JavaScript I already use on my board and the fact that I've been trying to do all I can to improve the performance of the forum, I think it's safe to say that adding additional third-party resources wouldn't be good for the performance of my board.

Controlling the weather is playing God and humans cannot play God.
9. Do you use any method to track your traffic to see where your users are coming from? I've considered Google Analytics, but I have way too much JavaScript on my board as it is. I do, however, use the Google Search Console to see what keywords I'm getting impressions and clicks from.
10. Way to go, Bryn! Maybe a logo for the upcoming skin on your board?

Welcome!
12. I think some form of mission statement is always good to have so people know the focus of your board. Sometimes I lurk on message boards and see no mission statement, welcome statement, or anything. You have to dive into the community to see what it's all about. That's offputting to me when there is no such statement. Of course, in many communities, you can know what they're about just by the name/domain, but I think a mission statement sets a tone for the community to help users be aware of their ambitions.
13. Sometimes it's all about the money and selling that data off to companies that would use it to promote their own company or they use the data itself for financial means somehow. But, whether we know hackers' intent or not can be a mystery, as there are other reasons for hacking than financial gain alone, but I imagine that's one of the primary reasons.
14. I prefer running and being a part of smaller communities due to some of the reasons mentioned above. I don't like when communities are so fast-paced that you can't keep up with everything going on. If you want to go with the masses, that's where most people use social media over message boards. Some people use social media due to its massiveness where it becomes nothing more than a popularity contest. I value discussions you can keep up with and people you can get to know more easily. Having a super large community used to be everyone's goal so it seemed, but I think that was mainly because there were so many younger people using message boards at the time for the sake of a popularity contest. Nowadays, you hear more young adults or older people using message boards.

Some conspiracy theorists are aiming at meteorologists and the government for the cause of these hurricanes, to the point of receiving death threats.

Welcome to the community, Num7! That's a very cool-looking board you got there with a unique niche!
17. Custom themes can be more important than consistently introducing new themes to the board, in my opinion. When you have a custom theme that follows many "guidelines" such as legible text, good contrast, high-quality graphics, etc. it can help brand your forum and give your forum a unique touch. I'm not saying using premade themes is a horrible idea, but a custom theme can create a presence that caters specifically to your board. I have kept Azuria (Dark) as my two themes on my forum since they were produced and I think being custom themes gives that sense of branding and uniqueness that other forums might not have.

Two massive hurricanes in a row, that's a killer! I hope people are taking shelter and have ways to protect themselves. I couldn't imagine living near the ocean. One year we were on vacation near the ocean and my grandmother called us telling us there was a hurricane coming our way and we were on our way back to Texas after hearing about that!

It's always good to start with the basics and build from there. Having the feature where when you're replying and the notification comes up that there has been a reply to the thread is pretty useful.

I'm just doing my usual work and computer stuff. I saw you online recently so you've probably already noticed, but we recently released a new skin on my board.
21. When I search "archive org alternative" on Google it comes up with 21 listings from "sources across the web". Sadly, people aim to target these useful websites to hack and bring down for no apparent reason. Archive.org is the site I have used to find old ZetaBoards themes to convert to Jcink. It would be a shame if the site ended up going offline. I don't believe I ever created an account on the site either.

Daedalus and Cedric: It is indeed how crazily expensive it is! I don't know about other countries, but inflation is always occurring in the USA, so it seems. We usually pay around $30 - $40 for our other dog's food, which we buy at the supermarket. Our female dog has to be put on a special diet, otherwise she'll probably gain a lot of weight. capnsquarepants: Awesome work, it's coming along nicely! Are there any features you plan to create that are more unique compared to your everyday average forum software?
24. I've never been a fan of fake accounts to gain activity for the board. Many communities have the rule, "one account per person", so if you have this rule and you're creating fake accounts on top of your original account, that's hypocritical. I understand the need for activity and engagement, but I don't think this is the way to do it. To generate content, do so under your original account. If you see an active administrator posting, I would be more likely to jump in and join rather than assuming inauthentic accounts are being used on the board.
